By
Updated: October 12, 2015

As opposed to last week, the weather cooperated with us and the stage was set for a big Tuesday Night with Double Headers. The Men’s League had 16″ Softball and the Co-Ed League had a combo of kickball/softball.  We’ll get into specifics in just a bit.. Here’s a Link to the Weekly Highlight Video!  Another quick reminder as deadlines are fast approaching — for Spring Break Trips — Student City — and for Study Abroad — cea Study Abroad.  OK to the Rankings.. In our last set of Rankings Co-Ed went first last week, so let’s do a 180.. Men’s League is up first! Let’s Rank ’em!

Men’s Power Rankings

1. Team Sammy (Ian’s Pizza) – Currently in 1st with 55 points.

All alone at the top of the mountain.. With their latest victory on Tuesday Night against the former #1 Team AEPi SR, the new #1 Team Sammy stole the top spot and also sits all by themselves in 1st of the Standings as well.. On Tuesday Night, they excelled with their Defense as they held the AEPi SRs to just one run. They have been so impressive through the opening weeks of the Season. They’ve now gotten a W in 3 different sports — Flag Football, Hoops and now Softball.. They’ll look to make another statement next week in Volleyball.

2. Team AEPi JR (Biaggi’s) – Currently tied for 2nd with 35 points.

Second straight week that the AEPi JRs earned points and this week is even sweeter as they got to take down the AEPi SOs in the process.. They relied on a high-powered offensive attack as they were the ony Men’s Team to get into double digits at the plate.. This is the highest the JRs have appeared in any Power Rankings since they started in 2014.. They are on a roll right now and they’ll look to close the gap between them and #1 Team Sammy in Volleyball next week!

3. Team AEPi SR (Club Tavern Gold) – Currently tied for 2nd with 35 points.

They took their first L of the Season on Tuesday Night and with it dipped down from the #1 spot.. Great Teams have a way of bouncing back and in a big way.. Softball is behind them for the remainder of the Season so if that happens to be their one weak sport, it won’t hold them back any longer.. They’ve already established they are among the favorites to take the whole thing and it will be interesting to see if they can once again take control when Volleyball comes up on Tuesday!

4. Team KSig (Badger Bowl Green) – Currently in 5th with 15 points.

5. Team Fiji (Badger Bowl Purple) – Currently in 4th with 20 points.

Rest of the Pack (Alphabetical Order) – All tied for 6th with 0 points.

Team AEPi SO (Badger Bowl Black)

Still Searching for Win #1.. They met with one of their Rivals, in their older bros, Team AEPi JR on Tuesday Night in what turned into a slugfest.. They dropped it 13-8, but what they did show, is they more than capable of hanging with the big boys.. They are going to surprise some people very soon. They may not grab the top seed come Playoff time, but they will be ready to make some noise.

Team Kepchar (Badger Bowl Red)

Team SigEp (Badger Bowl Blue)

Co-Ed Power Rankings

1. Team AXO & Co. (Badger Bowl Silver) – Currently in 1st with 75 points.

AXO & Co. is now 4 and O!  To be frank, they have been absolutely dominant to start the season.  They’ve now won Games in 4 different sports: Flag Football, Hoops, Kickball and Softball.. Just dominant. Co-Captains Aly Verson and Courtney Rosenfield have assembled a true powerhouse.. They are the clear front-runners at this point and it’s going to be fun to watch the other Teams in the League take their best shots at them week in and week out.. What a start!

2. Team Castriano (Club Tavern Red) – Currently in 2nd with 55 points.

Staying close to #1 Team AXO & Co. is Team Castriano who remains just 20 points behind.  With Volleyball coming next week, can they get even closer?

Rest of the Pack (Alphabetical Order) – Currently tied for 3rd with 0 points.

Team Chi O & Co. SO (Club Tavern Navy)

Team Chi O & Co. SR (Club Tavern Orange)

After the Holiday and Rain-Out, we finally got our first true glimpse of Team Chi O & Co. SR.. Unfortunately for them, they ran into the buzz-saw that is the #1 Team AXO & Co. in their kickball/softball double header.. We have it on good authority that they are a strong Volleyball Team and they’ll look to grab their first points of the season on Tuesday Night!

That’s it for this week, see you next Tuesday for Volleyball!
