Bowling Night at the Alley in Highwood always one of the most fun evenings of the Summer..  It certainly is a change of pace and usually provides a bit of shake-up in the Standings, even if only for a week or two.. This past Wednesday Night did not disappoint! Here’s the Weekly Highlight Video! A couple housekeeping notes…

For those not in attendance, this is how Bowling Night was scored.. Each Member from each Team bowled 2 full Games.  We took the top-6 Games from each Team and averaged those out to get the Team’s Score for the Night.  It didn’t matter if it was 3 different bowlers or 6.. Just the top-6 for each Team were tallied… This Week’s Team Results are as follows:

Power Rankings

1. Team The Alley in Highwood – Currently tied for 1st with 55 points.

Well, their consecutive win-streak was snapped.. However, their consecutive-point streak which is coming up on 2 Full Years is still fully in-tact. They managed to get 4th place and with that 5 points! Dave Rabinowitz was a big reason for that with his Avg. of 121.  More importantly, a true contender for the #1 Seed has emerged to push The Alley.. With their Bowling Night Win, Team BBQ Pit, has pulled into a tie for 1st in the Standings.  Let’s see how the Alley responds!

2. Team BBQ Pit – Currently tied for 1st with 55 points.

Big Night for Team BBQ Pit! Not only did they snap the Alley’s consecutive win-streak but they pulled into a deadlock atop the Standings with them! They were fantastic across the board on Wednesday Night and really ran away with Bowling Night. Their top-6 Team Avg. was 10 pins higher than the 2nd place Team. Just awesome stuff! Josh Schwartz had the best Avg. of the night with 167 and also had the high score of the evening with a whopping 194!  That earned him a FREE Lunch from Manny’s Deli in Chicago. Also chipping in was Paul Monogoven and Jordan Schmidt with Avgs. of 145.5 and 134 respectively. Both were in the top 5 overall in Avg. on the night! Just a great job all around for Team BBQ Pit! Well done!

3. Team The Karyn Collection – Currently tied for 4th with 30 points.

There was a large gap between #1 and #2 on Wednesday Night as Team BBQ Pit really pulled away from the pack.. There was an even larger gap between #2 and the rest of the field. Team TKC were the only ones who even remotely challenged Team BBQ Pit on Wednesday Night! Greg Mendoza had the second highest avg. of the night with a huge 165! Matt Graber and Eric Hernandez also did their part to help secure 2nd place for this group!  With their 15 points they pull into a tie for 4th in the Standings and are just 5 points back of 3rd.. Here comes their mid-season surge!

Rest of the Pack (Alphabetical Order)

Team Cy Fredrics – Currently in 3rd with 35 points.

Think it’s safe to say that the Men of Team CyF would tell you Bowling just might not be their strong suit. They didn’t manage to take home any points on Wednesday Night but even with zero points they are still alone in 3rd place.. Just a Win back of the Teams tied for first! Eric Cohen had their best average with 120!  They’ll be ready to go next week on the diamond!

Team Dr. Jacob D.D.S. – Currently tied for 4th with 30 points.

Bowling Night was just what Team Dr. Jacob D.D.S. needed to get back on track! They finished in 3rd and took home 10 key points to stay tied in 4th and just 5 points back of 3rd place in the Standings. David “Ace” Acevedo was the leading scorer for them with an average of 136.5, which was 4th among all Bowlers on Wednesday Night.  This Group looks to continue it’s success and get on a roll next week with Softball!

Team SLA Insurance – Currently in 6th with 0 points.

That’s it for us this Week. Have a great weekend and see you next Wednesday Night!
