Power Rankings

1. Team Sammy (Biaggi’s) – Currently in 1st with 65 points.

Team Sammy looked unreal on Wednesday Night. A couple of weeks ago they showed they were a very solid Flag Football squad by eeking out a Win in the final minutes against Team ZBT SR. Well, they used that experience from Week 2 and totally crushed Team Pike on Wednesday Night by a score of 46-8. Jack Settleman threw 5 TD passes on the Night. Nick Kreider hauled in two of them and passed another. They look virtually unstoppable right about now. The bullseye of being the top team is now firmly placed on them.. The rest of the League knows, they are the top dogs right now!

2. Team ZBT JR (Spikeball) – Currently tied for 2nd with 50 points.

Hopping up into the #2 spot this Week is Team ZBT JR. They won their second straight Flag Football Game in as many weeks. Their Defense held the ZBT SO crew, familiar foes, to just 12 points and the Offense did more than enough to get an easy W.  Captain Brent Rubin tossed 5 Touchdowns on Wednesday Night to 3 different receivers including Tristan Cooper and Skyler Tullman who each grabbed 2.  They look to keep up the momentum and try to gain some ground on current #1 Team Sammy next Wednesday with Volleyball!

3. Team Kappa Sig (cea Study Abroad Green) – Currently tied for 4th with 45 points.

Man do they continue to impress. With the exception of Softball, which most of them had never seen a 16″ ball prior to playing, they have been dominant thus far.. They are a perfect 3-0 combined in Hoops and Flag Football.. That really speaks volumes to their Championship chances later in the Fall as those are the two sports that will decide who wears the Crown.  Brett Harbin accounted for 4 TDs in Week 4 and David Malave caught two of them.. He also would run in another. They look to jump into the Top-2 a week from now after a nice Volleyball performance.

4. Team Sigma Chi (Le Brocq Lawyer) – Currently tied for 4th with 45 points.

They got a big 26-6 W over former #4 Team ZBT SR on Wednesday Night. Gage Charles had a couple of TDs in this one as he brought back a couple of INTs to the house! With the Win they leapt over Team ZBT SR in the Power Rankings and the Standings. They stayed tied with Kappa Sig for 4th in the Standings and are virtually a Game back of Team Sammy who sits out in front with 65 points right now. Volleyball gives an opportunity to grab 18 points so they could narrow that gap even further in Week 5!

5. Team SigEp (SLA Insurance) – Currently tied for 2nd with 50 points.

6. Team Fiji (popchips) – Currently in 7th with 30 points.

Team Fiji asserted themselves as one of the better Flag Football Teams in the League on Wednesday Night by gaining their second W in as many chances on the gridiron. They defeated Team Fat Sals by a score of 30-12. They got to the 30pt mark twice. Their Offense is one to be reckoned with come Playoff time.  Ford Albert and Patrick Elliot connected for 3Tds on Wednesday Night. They look to keep rising in the Rankings and Standings next week with Volleyball.

7. Team ZBT SR (Chipotle) – Currently in 6th with 35 points.

Lost Team Sigma Chi on Wednesday Night and fell back a couple spots in the Rankings as a result. They dropped both of their Footballs in the Regular Season but they showed promise and really were in their first Game for 59 minutes. These guys should be one of the better Volleyball groups out there next week. They have a chance to gain some ground in the Rankings with Team Fiji and ZBT JR in their pool. Team Fat Sals will also be in their pool.. Bunch of familiar foes for them out there next week!

8. Team ZBT SO Levenfeld (Dr. Jacob D.D.S.) – Currently in 8th with 20 points.

They met the powerhouse ZBT JR squad who they are far too familiar with in Flag Football on Wednesday Night. Their older bros. got the best of them in Week 4. Grayson Sheena did toss a couple of TDs though in the Loss. They are holding on to the last spot in the Rankings for another week as Teams behind them are not doing anything to pass them.. They need a turnaround week and Volleyball may just be the perfect recipe for that!

Rest of the Pack (Alphabetical Order)

Team Fat Sal’s Deli – Currently tied for 10th with 0 points.

They are still searching for Win #1 as they exit Week 4 and their matchup with Team Fiji in Flag Football. Jonathan Kleinman threw 2 Tuddys on Wednesday.. One went to Jared Newberg and the other to Bradley Stahl. These guys are going to be just fine. The first half of the season didn’t go as they wanted it to but they clearly are talented and just need a Win to get things turned around. Volleyball provides them with an opportunity to gain ground on several Teams and start closing the gap in the Standings. All of their focus should be pointed in that direction. Good things ahead.

Team Pike (StudentCity) – Currently tied for 8th with 15 points.

Took on the impossibly tough Team Sammy squad in apparently their best sport of Flag Football on Wednesday Night. That is a recipe for disaster. They are going to be fine. This is a group that really looked good in Hoops during Week 1 and have just struggled to regain their form. The talent is there. They just need something to hang their hat on and gather some momentum. Volleyball should provide that opportunity. Look for them to jump back into the Rankings soon!

Team (TOW Caps) – Currently tied for 10th with 0 points.

Team ZBT SO Koretz (cea Study Abroad Gold) – Currently tied for 10th with 0 points.

That’s it for this Week. Get ready for Week 5 Volleyball!
