Power Rankings

1. Team Dorfman (SLA Insurance) – 2-0, Currently tied for 1st

Another Dominating Sunday afternoon for Team Dorfman and this without Captain Dan.  They now make it two straight weeks with 2-0 victories and are the only Team in the entire League to have not dropped a single Game just yet.. #2 Team Massel is also undefeated but had to go to a deciding Game 3 with Team Feldman in Week 1. As we look ahead to Week 3, Team Dorfman will be put to the test when they have a Double Header against #3 Team Feldman and #4 Team Free Agent ONE. Can they stay unbeaten?

2. Team Massel (Rhoyal Decadence) – 2-0, Currently tied for 1st

#2 Team Massel joins #1 Team Dorfman as the final Undefeated Teams in the League. In Week 2, they defeated Team Free Agent ONE in two straight Games, a Free Agent ONE squad, that earned a Win in Week 1.. Team Massel is setting themselves up as a front runner for the Crown.. Looking back on their 3-Game battle with Team Feldman in Week 1.. That just might be a Championship Preview.. Time will tell.. They play Team Stanaszek in Week 3.

3. Team Feldman (Theory) – 2-1, Currently in 3rd

The big story coming out of Week 2 is certainly Team Feldman and their complete Double Header sweep on Sunday afternoon. They defeated Team Stanaszek and then Team Free Agent TWO in back to back matches and didn’t drop a single Game on the day.. In fact, they didn’t even allow an opponent to get into to the 20s against them.. Very impressive stuff and a great sight to see them rebound from a hard-fought Loss in Week 1 to Team Massel.  Next week they’ll have a chance to not only jump up another spot (or two) in the Power Rankings but if the Standings as well.. They take on #1 Team Dorfman next Sunday in the Wrigley View Rooftop Game of the Week!

4. Team Free Agent ONE (Wrigley View Rooftop) – 1-1, Currently in 4th

A week after Winning their first Game they fall to the tough #2 Team Massel squad.. No shame in that as Team Massel is shaping up to be one of the favorites for the Crown.. This is a group that is going to continue improve chemistry wise as weeks move on, it’s expected for them to have a few bumps in the road as they get acclimated to each other’s Games.. The good news is that they certainly have enough talent to compete and once they figure out their rotations etc. they are going to be tough to defeat! They have a Double Header next Sunday with both #1 Team Dorfman and the other Free Agent squad!

Rest of the Pack (Alphabetical Order)

Team Free Agent TWO (Orunje) – 0-2, Currently in 5th

They are experiencing a rough start if you look at just the surface and their record.. 0-2 starts are going to happen and almost expected for Free Agent groups who are just getting to know each other.. Here’s the thing though.. They’ve taken on #3 Team Feldman and #1 Team Dorfman (and almost won a Game against) in their first couple of weeks. That’s about the toughest schedule you can ask for to start.. They are going to improve.. Next week they look to get one in the Win column against Team Free Agent ONE!

Team Stanaszek (StudentCity) – 0-3, Currently in 6th

Didn’t have the Double Header success that they had hoped for but its so so early in the Season. They have tons of time to turn it around.. They’ll play another 6 matches just in the Regular Season alone.. No reason to hit the panic button whatsoever. They have a chance to turn it all around and really make a statement next Sunday afternoon when they take on the Undefeated #2 Team Massel!

That’s it for this edition of the Power Rankings. Have a great week and see you Sunday for Week 3!
