and then there was just 1…  Following Week 3, we are left with one lone Undefeated group in the Chicago Co-Ed Volleyball League.. Team Massel.  We’ll find out how that shakes-up the Power Rankings in just a bit.. Here’s the Weekly Highlight Video!  Also, if you have ever want to find any info on the League.. Go to Sport Specific Leagues > Chicago Co-Ed Volleyball.. Everything you’d need from Results to Schedules to Standings etc. will be found there..

One more thing before we get to the Power Rankings, our MVP Sponsor for the Chicago Spring Leagues is none other than Wrigley View Rooftop.  It’s no secret the Cubs are back and Wrigley View offers the perfect experience for getting Cubs action while enjoying the perks of all you can eat/drink!  If you ever want more info on Tix (group outings) just contact Holden@allsportsseries.com  OK Let’s Rank ’em!

Power Rankings

1. Team Massel (Rhoyal Decadence) – 3-0, Currently in 1st

As we led with at the top, Team Massel is the final Undefeated Team left standing.. Now, how far can they go with this?  They are going to have their first Double Header on Sunday afternoon and it will be a tough one as they have Match-ups with #4 Team Free Agent TWO and most notably #2 Team Feldman in a Rematch of their Fantastic Week 1 3-Game affair.  Captain Landon and co. are firing on all cylinders right now and if they can get to 5-0, there really might not be any stopping them…

2. Team Feldman (Theory) – 3-1, Currently tied for 2nd

Team Feldman got easily their biggest W of the Season thus far as they knocked off Team Dorfman in 3 Games on Sunday Night.  Team Dorfman entered Week 3 Undefeated and previously Ranked #1.  It was the first true sign that they are here to Win the Crown this Spring and everyone needs to be paying attention to them.. They will have another huge match in Week 4 as they will try to get some revenge from Week 1 against Team Massel in the Wrigley View Rooftop Game of the Week!

3. Team Dorfman (SLA Insurance) – 3-1, Currently tied for 2nd

Listen, it’s hard enough to get 1 W in a given week let alone 2.. Team Dorfman split their first Double Header of the Season in Week 3.  They defeated Team Free Agent ONE to start the day but fell in a closely played 3-Game contest with new #2 Team Feldman.. It was a very well-played Game by both Teams and one that should be a Playoff Preview down the road.. Captain Dan and co. look to get back on track this coming Sunday when they take on #4…

4. Team Free Agent TWO (Orunje) – 1-2, Currently in 4th

Coming into the Rankings for the first time after their first W as a unit on Sunday — Team Free Agent TWO! It’s well deserved as they defeated Team Free Agent ONE in Week 3.  They have little time to celebrate and need to turn in to “Game prep” mode quickly as they will have a very tough Double Header in Week 4.. They will take on both #3 Team Dorfman who is coming off their first Loss AND Undefeated #1 Team Massel.  If they can manage to even split and go 1-1 against two of the League’s best, that would be a tremendous accomplishment so early on in their playing days together!

Team Free Agent ONE (Wrigley View Rooftop) – 1-3, Currently in 5th

As we mentioned above in Team Dorfman’s section — Double Headers are tough — it’s not easy to stay on top of your Game over the course of multiple hours and the Free Agent ONEs felt that during their first double dip on Sunday.  They dropped Games to both Team Dorfman and the Free Agent TWOs. They still have plenty of time to get back on track and that begins this coming Sunday when they face Team Stanaszek.

Team Stanaszek (StudentCity) – 0-4, Currently in 6th

They fell to #1 Team Massel in Week 3. No shame in that. So has everyone thus far.. They are getting better and soon will see that in the W/L columns. They face a Free Agent ONE crew this coming Sunday they will matchup well against. If they play their Game and limit unforced errors they could be staring down their first W of the season on Sunday afternoon!

That’s it for Week 3. Have a great week and see everyone on Sunday!
