Power Rankings

1. Team Ksig SO (Badger Bowl Green) – 4-1

Jumping up to the #1 spot after a phenomenal week is the Sophomore crew from Kappa Sig. On Thursday Night they dealt Team Sammy their first Loss of the Season and followed that up with a Win over Team DU on Tuesday Night. Peter Poggioli continues to impress as he averaged 26 points in those two outings including 31 in their most important Game of the Year against Team Sammy last week. These guys are looking at the top of the Game right about now and they may have the inside track at the 1 seed.  They will have another tough test with #3 Team Fiji in Week 6!

2. Team Sammy (MacTaggart’s Orange) – 4-1

They fell back one spot to #2 this week after splitting their Games 1-1 in the past two. They lost their first Game of the Season to KSig SO on Thursday Night but bounced back just 5 days later to take down Team AEPi 1 in what was clearly a Rivalry Game. Sam Brodsky led the way on Tuesday with 15 points in the Win. Daniel Ostrower and Jared Nossen also contributed 14 a piece. In their Loss on Thursday Night, it was Captain Dinetz who led the scoring with a dozen points.  These guys are still in the running for the #1 seed heading into the Playoffs but will need to finish strong.. Team AEPi2 is next!

3. Team Fiji (Badger Bowl Gray) – 4-1

2-0 in this stretch to keep pace at 4-1 with the other two favorites in the League right now.. On Thursday Night in a Win over DU, Chris Stout led with 26 and Captain Randall Pulfer had 23 in an impressive Offensive Game for the whole Team. They now look forward to a clash with #1 Team Ksig SO in Week 6. There are many Playoff implications on the line there.  A win would go a long way in getting them to the #1 overall seed when Playoffs begin.

4. Team DU (Badger Bowl Red) – 2-3

They also went 1-1 in the two Games this past week and managed to move up from #5 to #4 as a result in the Rankings. They fell to #1 Team KSig SO on Tuesday Night. Same fate as many have had with them.. Jack Wells turned in a good night on Offense in defeat though. This is a group that has what it takes to get hot right now and really turn it on for the Playoffs. A team on the rise for sure.

5. Team Sig Chi (Badger Bowl Lime) – 2-3

Sig Chi also went 1-1 in the past two Games and hopped into the last spot in the Rankings as a result.. They fell to Team Fiji on Thursday Night and then got an easy Win over AEPi 2 on Tuesday. Andrew Rose had 24 and Jack Keeny had 22 on Thursday Night. These guys have a lot of firepower and if they can figure out a away to get stops on the Defensive end they’ll be really tough to knock out come Playoff time. They take on Team AEPi 1 in what is an important Game in the Standings during Week 6!

Rest of the Pack (Alphabetical Order)

Team AEPi 1 (MacTaggart’s Gray) – 2-3

Not a great week as they fell on Thursday Night to Team DU and then lost to Rivals Team Sammy on Tuesday Night. Captain Max Goshen did have 22 against Sammy and Charlie Taxman was in double figures as well. This group started off hot and they just need to take a deep breathe and re-group. They’ve already shown how good they can be. Just need to stop the bleeding.  They get Team Sig Chi in Week 6 when they try to get back to .500!

Team AEPi 2 (Madison Taxi) – 0-5

Team Ksig JR (Ian’s Pizza) – 2-3

That’s it for this Week. See everyone for Week 6 on Tuesday Night!
