Power Rankings

1. Team ATO (Gourmet Cafe Navy) – 3-0

Cannot turn anywhere for the #1 spot other than Team ATO who will hold down the top position in the Rankings for the 3rd consecutive week to start the 2017 season.  They have been just so great on both sides of the diamond. Their latest Win was over Team AEPi SR 10-0.  Cal Kropke got on base in all 3 of his plate appearances and drove in a run. Scott Hammes also had a great day at the dish. Their Defense has been something as well. They are allowing under a run per Game. Unheard of in 16″ Softball. In Week 4, they look to stay undefeated against #4 Team Delts. It’ll be the StudentCity Game of the Week!

2. Team DTD JR (Gourmet Cafe Coral) – 3-0

Their 3rd W, came much easier than Wins 1 and 2. Clash with Phi Psi looms in Week 4.

3. Team AEPi SO/JR (Cea Study Abroad) – 3-0

The final Undefeated Team into the Rankings is Team AEPi SO/JR (for the 3rd consecutive week) – they’ve been doing everything they can to take one of the Top-2 spots, but ATO and DTD JR haven’t slowed down either. They defeated 2016 “All Sports” Champs Team DTD SR in Week 3 by 5 runs – it was a great resume builder for the Rankings come later in the Season. Justin Margolin reached base 4 times on Wednesday Night – the only player in the entire League to do so. They also have a few guys who are near the top of the leaderboard for the batting crown – Captain Evan Zisook, Josh Newlander and Tyler Tamarkin are all right there through 3 weeks. They take on Team ZBT SR in Week 4.

4. Team Delts (Dr. Jacob D.D.S. Green) – 2-1

Not the hardest W they’ll earn all season, but they’ll take the Win and a bump up the Rankings. They’ll be a part of the StudentCity Game of the Week when they take on #1 Team ATO in Week 4.

5. Team ZBT SR (Black Canyon Bakehouse Gray) – 2-1

ZBT SR earned their 2nd straight W in Week 3 and have ascended into the Top-5. We said it last week, they needed a week to just get their feet wet in Week 1 and look like a completely different Team than the one that took on Team ATO in Week 1. They beat Phi Psi on Wednesday Night. Grant Goodman and Captain Zach Lehrer both reached base 3 times to lead them at the plate. They look to make it 3 in a row against #3 Team AEPi SO/JR in what should be a headliner of Week 4.

6. Team DTD SR (Biaggi’s) – 1-2

These guys fell to Team AEPi SO/JR during Week 3 by a score of 7-2. Those guys are really, really good and it’s no big deal to drop one to them. They just need to find a way to get a bit more consistency at the plate to drive in some more runs.  James Leyden reached base for them a couple times during this one. They are still among the best Teams in the League despite the slowish start. They will look to get back to .500 in Week 4 against Team ZBT SO/JR.

7. Team Sammy (Black Canyon Bakehouse Purple) – 1-2

Team Sammy picked up their first W of the Season during Week 3 and as a result hopped up into the Rankings at #7. They defeated Team DTD SO by a score of 9-5. Captain Danny Grossberg and Evan Kahn both were perfect from the plate on Wednesday. The latter even hit a HR that helped fuel the big Win. They look to keep the momentum in Week 4 against AEPi SR.

8. Team Phi Psi (Chipotle) – 1-2

Team Phi Psi fell to ZBT SR in what was a good Game during Week 3. They are still playing solid ball and it’ll turn into Wins soon. Tyler Engleman has reached base 9 times this season – which is the most in the League by any Player. Their Offense has been solid, and just need to avoid giving up a big inning when in the field. They take on Team DTD JR in Week 4 when they look to pull even at 2-2 and maintain their spot in the Rankings.

Rest of the Pack (Alphabetical Order)

Team AEPi SR (Dr. Jacob D.D.S. Blue) – 0-3

Team AEPi SR left Week 3 looking for their first Win still. They took on #1 ATO and it didn’t go as well as they’d hoped. Seems like that may be a pattern for Teams in the path of destruction that ATO is on. Seth Gilford had a nice day at the plate for them. These guys have been through ups and downs in All Sports Series before. A slow start won’t shake their confidence. They look to get into the Winner’s Circle during Week 4 against Team Sammy, who is coming off of their first W of the season.

Team DTD SO (StudentCity) – 1-2

These guys fell to Team Sammy 9-5 in Week 3. Connor Lewis had a nice day at the plate, reaching base on 3 of his 4 at bats. He also scored a run and drove one in. Captain Brandon Barthel and Ryan Sondles also had nice days. They just need to find a way to get outs on D and they’ll be just fine! They take on Team Phi Sig on Wednesday Night!

Team Phi Sig (The Bucket List) – 1-2

Team ZBT SO/JR (SLA Insurance) – 0-3

That’s it for Week 3! Good Luck in Week 4.
