Power Rankings

1. Team Big Cheeze – 3-0

No surprise here.. Big Cheeze continues to roll through everyone put in their way. Delta Chi kept it close for the first 10-15 minutes or so but then Team Big Cheeze started pouring it in from 3 as they have all season long and pulled away for the easy W. Taylor Wischmeier scored 26 points to lead them in scoring for the 3rd straight week. Brandon McGhee had 15 points as well. These guys are just so tough to stop. After the break this coming Sunday they will come back and face vets Team ZBT on Sunday March 5 when they try to get to 4-0.

2. Team AEPi FR (Black Canyon Bakehouse Gray) – 3-0

In his first stint as an All Sports Series Captain – Jeremy Sernick is pushing all of the right buttons.  They defeated Team Kappa Sig 2 on Sunday Night to stay perfect. He scored 26 points to help lead his group to their 3rd Win of the Season.. Mikey Stavinsky chipped in a dozen points as well.  They will take on fellow Freshmen from DTD when we return on March 5 when they try to get to 4-0!

3. Team Sammy SR (Dr. Jacob D.D.S.) – 2-1

Team Sammy SR bounced back with another Win on Sunday Night, following their clash with Big Cheeze in Week 2. They had 3 guys with 13 points: Sam Lansat, Sam Evans, Taylor Keppler.  These guys are tough on both ends and make their opposition really work for each bucket. They will get old Rivals DTD JR/SR in Week 4 when we return on Sunday March 5.

4. Team Delta Chi (Testing Timers) – 2-1

They moved down just a spot following their first Loss of the Season. They gave Big Cheeze the best fight we have seen just yet.. They were in it for the first stretch of the Game before it got away from them. Adam Swails went for 22 and his season average is just under 20 for the season. Very impressive. David Carbajal had a dozen in this one too. They get Team Sigma Nu when we return on Sunday March 5.

5. Team Evans Scholars (Madison Taxi) – 2-1

These guys have shown a lot following their Week 1 Loss.. They have bounced back with 2 straight Wins and earned a spot in the Top-5 as a result. In Week 3, they beat the previously Undefeated DTD FR squad, and did so by almost 30 points. Justuss Boice went for 28 to lead them in scoring and Eric Martin had 22 as well. They get matched up with Team Theta Chi in Week 4 on Sunday March 5.

6. Team Sammy SO (StudentCity Pink) – 2-1

Similarly to #5 Team Evans Scholars, Team Sammy SO has bounced back after a Loss in Week 1 to Win two straight Games. On Sunday Night they went toe to toe with Team DTD SO and came out with a big Win.  Jake Bloom had 20 and Marc Leonard had 14 to help lead them to their Win. Captain Jordan Krawitz chipped in 13 as well. They look to get it to 3 straight on Sunday March 5 against Team Kappa Sig 2.

7. Team AEPi SO (cea Study Abroad Gold) – 2-1

Their second Win of the season will likely be the easiest. As a result they move up 3 spots this week.

8. Team DTD JR/SR (Spikeball) – 1-2

It has been one step forward, one step back for the Defending Champs so far this season.. They are going to have a tough road the entire season.. They play with giant targets on their backs each time they take the floor.. Raymond Riley led the way here in double figures. They are really missing the scoring of Brendan Thomas who has been out with an injury.  They will be in for another tough Game on Sunday March 5 when they take on Rivals #3 Sammy SR.

9. Team DTD FR (Black Canyon Bakehouse Black) – 2-1

The DTD FR took their first Loss in All Sports Series on Sunday Night at the hands of Team Evans Scholars.  It’s going to happen.. What makes a great Team is the ability to bounce right back. Tommy Karnig had 19 as the high scorer for them here. We are going to have a clash of the Freshmen on Sunday March 5 when these guys go head to head with Undefeated #2 Team AEPi FR!

10. Team ATO (cea Study Abroad Green) – 1-2

HUGE first Win of the Season for Team ATO. Sitting at 0-2 with the Defending Champs DTD JR/SR on the schedule is not a spot you want to be in.. However, they dug down deep and got into the Winner’s Circle on Sunday Night. Captain Jack Klein had a big night, going for 15 to lead his Team to victory. Max Abraham was also in double figures in Week 3. They look to keep the momentum going now in Week 4 on Sunday March 5 against Team DTD SO.

11. Team Kappa Sig 1 (StudentCity Orange) – 1-2

Hopping up and into the Rankings following their first W of the season is Team Kappa Sig 1. The best Game of the Night was actually the first on on Sunday. Team Kappa Sig 1 and Theta Chi battled through regulation but the score was still tied.. In Overtime, Kappa Sig 1 earned their first Win of the year, and first in Franchise history. Connor Haxton had 16 and Chase Casaburo had 15 in a week where each point really mattered. They look to get back to .500 in Week 4 on Sunday March 5 against #7 AEPi SO.

Rest of the Pack (Alphabetical Order)

Team DTD SO (popchips) 1-2

They battled with a tough Sammy SO squad but came up short on Sunday Night. Captain Grant Miller led the way with a dozen points and Ryan Heckaman had 11 as well. They played well on Defense but couldn’t get the ball to stay down for them on the Offensive end. They will get fellow Sophomores from ATO in Week 4 on Sunday March 5, where one Team will get back to .500 at 2-2.

Team Kappa Sig 2 (SLA Insurance) – 1-2

Team Kappa Sig 2 went head to head with Undefeated #2 Team AEPi FR and came up a bit short. They battled though and showed promise.. Captain Nick Rhoad led the way with 14 and Noah Coonan  had a dozen. These guys can play and will get Wins. They will take on the #6 Sammy SO squad on Sunday March 5 when they try to get back to .500 at 2-2.

Team Sigma Nu (The Gourmet Cafe) – 0-3

Team Theta Chi (StudentCity Neon) – 0-3

Theta Chi was seconds away from getting their first Win of the Season. They went to OT with Team Kappa Sig 1 and just came out on the wrong end of it. Jacob Rolfsen led the way with 15 points in Week 3.  They are good enough to Win Games and the wins will come.. This little break might be a good thing for them and allow them to clear their heads before Week 4 on Sunday March 5. They will take on Team Evans Scholars then.

Team ZBT (Biaggi’s) – 1-2

That’s it for Week 3. We’ll see everyone back on Sunday March 5!
