Power Rankings

1. Team Maione (Chipotle) – 6-0

Team Maione is still perfect this season after this week, improving their record to 6-0. The squad has a strong reputation of putting up an insane amount of runs and backed it up this Sunday after a huge 19-1 win over Team Colmery. Jared Cohen went 4-4 with 2 Runs and 2 RBIs. They have a challenging game next week against Team Massel who is in 3rd place.

2.Team Kramer (StudentCity) – 5-1

Team Kramer blew out their opponent in Week 6 by keeping them scoreless and putting up 11 runs.  Jon Schulte was incredible from the plate, going 3-3 with 2 HRs 2 Runs and 7 RBIs. The Team has earned the second place position in this week’s power rankings with an impressive record of 5-1.  Next week they hope to continue their 4 game win streak against Team Golembo.

3. Team Massel (popchips) – 4-2

After a tough loss in week 5 to Team Loewenstein, Team Massel had an impressive win over Team Golembo in week 6. Everyone seemed impossible to get out, as 3 of their players went a combined 10-10. Next week they face the first place Team Maione which should be one of the most exciting games of the season.

4. Team Holstein (Dr. Jacob D.D.S. Purple) – 4-1

Team Holstein picked up one of the easier wins that they will have this season…

5. Team Rhum (cea Study Abroad) – 4-2

Team Rhum had a double header during Week 6. The squad won one game (Rhum 4 – Holzman 3) and lost the other (Rhum 2 – Kaufman 4). Adam Rhum went 2-3 with a run in this game. Though these games were close, we all know that Rhum is a dominant team in this league and will stick around the top of the leaderboards for the rest of the season. Next week they have a challenging matchup against Team Holstein.

6. Team Holzman (Chicago Trolley) – 3-2

The Defending Champs took a tough loss in a close game against Team Rhum this past week, dropping their record to 3-2. Danny Goldin went 2-3 with a HR. They will have two chances to get back into the win column next week against Team Loewenstein and Team Holstein in a double header.

7. Team Kaufman (Sunset Foods) – 2-3

Team Kaufman had a HUGE week and won both of their games in their double header, beating Teams Shapiro and Rhum by only a few runs each game. This helped them move up the board in our power rankings and hopefully will create momentum for future games. Next week they play a struggling Team Colmery and attempt to continue their win streak.

8. Team Lowenstein (Dr. Jacob D.D.S. Gold) – 2-3

Team Loewenstein took a tough loss to the second place Team Kramer in Week 6 by the score of 0-11. Next week they hope to get out of their funk and back into the win column against Team Holzman.

Rest of the Pack (Alphabetical Order)

Team Colmery (Biaggi’s Black) – 1-5

Team Colmery is off to a slow start this season and had a rough Week 6 against the #1 team in the league, Team Maione, by the score of 1-19. Captain Freddy Colmery went 2-2 in this game. They hope to break their losing streak of 4 next week against Team Kaufman.

Team Golembo (Schweitzer Title) – 1-4

Team Golembo had a challenging Week 6 and lost to the 3rd place Team Massel. Luke Duffy was an impressive 2-3 from the plate. The team is filled with athletes and can easily change their season around. They play the second place Team Kramer next week.

Team Shapiro (Sunset Foods) – 1-5

After an impressive win against Team Loewenstein in Week 5, they struggled against Team Kaufman in a 5-3 loss in Week 6. Danny Slutsky went 4-4 with 1 Run in the game. They hope to turn their season around next Sunday against Team Sharrin.

Team Sharrin (Biaggi’s Neon) – 0-5

That’s it for Week 5. See you all on the field next Sunday!
