Power Rankings

1. Team Stratton (Chicago Trolley) – In 4th with 59 points

The 2016 Champs were rained out two weeks ago, and you know that no team will beat them, especially with an extra week of rest. They won all 4 of their volleyball games against Team Mortier. You may ask why the 4th place team in the standings is #1 in the Power Rankings. They still have a whopping 80 points possible remaining because they haven’t played softball yet. They will play that softball game next week against Team Reef, but first will have a soccer game against Team Gordon.

2. Team Mortier (The Bucket List) – In 1st with 74 points

Team Mortier got shut out in volleyball by the #1 Team Stratton, but that didn’t stop them from winning their softball game later in the night by the score of 8-4 against Team Leiby. Jamie Lazer went 5-6 with 3 RBIs and 1 Run. That win gave them the all important 30 points needed to stay at #1 in the standings. Up next for them is a soccer game against Team Freeosk.

3. Team Wolter (Rockin’ Refuel) – In 2nd with 73 points

Team Wolter is still only 1 point behind Team Mortier in the standings after winning their softball game against Team Freeosk 19-2. Cory Stiles went 4-4 with 1 HR 2 RBIs and 2 Runs. Every single batter got at least 1 hit. Up next for them is a game against Team Castriano in Hoops.

4. Team Gordon (Sandusky Lee) – In 3rd with 71 points

Team Gordon defeated Team UM Alumni in softball this week, beating them 13-5. Frank Maione and Austin Nankin both went 4-4 with 1 HR, multiple runs, and 1 RBI. They will try to hand Team Stratton their first loss of the year in a Soccer game next week.

5. Team UM Alumni (Spikeball) – In 5th with 51 points

Team UM Alumni was finally defeated this past week in their softball game, losing to Team Gordon 5-13. Michael Dent went 2-3 with 4 RBIs and 1 Run scored. They look to get right back into the win column next week in a Hoops game against Team Campbell & Co.

6. Team Leiby (Chipotle) – In 6th with 38 points

Team Leiby went 2-1 in their volleyball games against Team Castriano this week, but couldn’t ride that momentum into the second half of their double header. They fell to Team Mortier 4-8 in softball. Bryan Bebber went 4-4 with 3 RBIs and 1 Run. Up next for them is Team Reef in Soccer.

7. Team Freeosk (Dr. Jacob D.D.S) – In 7th with 35 points.

Team Freeosk got annihilated on the softball field this past week, losing by 17 runs to Team Wolter. Brian went 1-2 with 1 RBI and 1 Run. They will be excited to move back inside next week against Team Mortier in Soccer.

Rest of the Pack (Alphabetical Order)

Team Campbell & Co. (Karyn Collection) – Tied for 9th with 15 points

Team Campbell & Co. picked up 3 points this week, winning 1 of their 3 volleyball games against Team Reef. You can find them back at the Windy City Fieldhouse next week for a Hoops matchup with Team UM Alumni.

Team Castriano (SLA Insurance) – Tied for 9th with 15 points

Team Castriano will stay tied in 9th with Team Campbell & Co. after winning only one of their 3 volleyball games against Team Leiby. They have a tough matchup ahead of them against Team Wolter in Hoops.

Team Reef (Fox in a Box) – In 8th with 24 points
Team Reef picked up 6 important points this week, beating Team Campbell & Co. in 2 of the 3 volleyball games that they played. They will look to ride this momentum into next week’s matchups against Team Leiby in Soccer and Team Stratton in Softball.

That’s it for Week 5. Have a great week!
