Power Rankings

1. Team Jimenez (Karyn Collection) – 0-1

Some are probably scratching their heads here.. How does a Team that lost by double figures in Week 1 earn the #1 spot? Well… When you are the Reigning Defending Champs you have earned the top spot for Week 1.  Not only did these guys win the Crown last Fall, they doubled up and won it again in the Spring. This will be the 3rd Football-only League we have ever done and this group is the only Team to have ever Won a Championship. So yes – #1 goes to Team Jimenez. They fell 23-12 to last year’s Runners-Up and it seems like they are going to need to flip the switch earlier than normal (they always start slow) to get back to the Crown this Fall. Captain and QB Alex Jimenez tossed 2 TDs to Jonathan Frosolone here. They look to get back to .500 against Team Barbati in Week 2.

2. Team Elisco (SLA Insurance) – 1-0

Team Elisco (aka Team Rasky) looked the best out of any Team on Tuesday Night. They earned a commanding double digit W against Defending Champs Team Jimenez and the score is closer than the Game really was. It was a nice small sliver of revenge for them. This group is deep and talented all over the field with several All Sports Series vets on the Roster. Cody Davis who was around the League Lead for TD passes last fall – hurled 3 on this night with 2 going to Spencer Barclay and one going to Greg Jacobson. They look to ascend to #1 next week with a Win over #3 Team Tickman in the Bucket List Game of the Week!

3. Team Tickman (Chicago Trolley) – 1-0

Team Tickman is absolutely loaded. Captain Zack, QB1 Andrew Sledd, Jon Chaikin and Kyle Lewis are fresh off the College/Prep “All Sports” Crown this past Summer.  These guys are joined this season by the Oscar Twins – Charlmers and Jeffrey – who have long been two of the best Footballers in the All Sports Series network. These guys got a 20+ point W over Team Barbati. QB Andrew Sledd is extremely elusive in the pocket and tossed 3 TDs and added another on the ground. Captain Tickman caught 2 TDs and Charlmers Oscar hauled in the other. They are in store for a big-time Regular Season clash against Team Elisco in Week 2!

4. Team Saltzberg (Live Clean CHI) – 1-0

Team Saltzberg got largest W of Week 1 in terms of margin of victory. They looked dominant from start to finish against a high-caliber opponent in Team Rudy. This group has been completely overhauled since last season and look like true title contenders. QB Alex Nadelman tossed a few TDs and ran for another. Erik Smason, Forrest Weiss and Jacob Bikshorn all scored on the night. They will be tested a ton in Week 2, with Team Apuli who has been semi-finalists in two straight Chicago Flag Football Leagues. Should be a great Game!

5. Team Apuli (Hakimian Imports) – 0-0

Starting up in Week 2, but this crew will be in the Top-5 all season long.

Rest of the Pack (Alphabetical Order)

Team Barbati (Dr. Jacob D.D.S.) – 0-1

Team Barbati ran into the buzzsaw that is Team Tickman’s Offense on Sunday Night. Those guys fly around the field and it was not an easy Week 1 task. This group has a bunch of nice pieces though and they will get into the Winner’s Circle before too long. Jack Murphy hit Kyle Dillman for a TD in Week 1 to get them on the board. These guys are going to be just fine and look to rebound in Week 2 against #1 Team Jimenez!

Team Kugler (Schweitzer Title) – 0-0

We will get our first look at them in Week 2!

Team Rudy (The Bucket List) – 0-1

Team Rudy did not have their best showing in Week 1. Usually playing under the Team Valvassori name, Captain Dillon Rudy has assumed the reigns for this season and will lead a group that has played in a TON of All Sports Series Leagues into their first full Flag Football League this Fall. These guys are going to be in the hunt for the Crown. Don’t let Week 1 fool you. They can play. Captain Dillon ran in their lone score. They have guys like Chris Valvassori, Jesse Arnold and Sam Levis who have been around the Leagues for years. They will get back to .500 soon. They get Team Kugler in their first action of the season, next week!
