Making the Semi-Finals in each of the past 2 Leagues. Power Rankings

1. Team Jimenez (Karyn Collection) – 1-1

The 2x Champs got their first W of the Fall Season on Thursday Night by shutting out Team Barbati. Captain and QB Alex Jimenez had himself a day by throwing 3 TDs to 3 different receivers: Nick Nolan, Trevor Mullen and new Teammate Anthony Moore. It will be a scary sight if these guys turn it on earlier than normal this Season and they need to do just that, as we mentioned last week. This is the most talented Flag Football League we’ve had yet.. Many Teams are on their heels. When we return on Thursday Sept. 28 they will take on Team Saltzberg.

2. Team Tickman (Chicago Trolley) – 2-0

The only 2-0 Team in the League through Week 2 is Team Tickman. They got a big-time W over Team Elisco 19-13 last Thursday and as a result hopped over them in the Rankings. We talked about this one being the highlight of the Week and it did not disappoint. QB Andrew Sledd threw a couple more TDs and Rushed one as well. They will have their hands full once again on Thursday Sept. 28 when they are again apart of The Bucket List Game of the Week against #4 Team Kugler. One of the Teams will be dealt their first Loss of the Season.

3. Team Apuli (Hakimian Imports) – 1-0

Captain Justin Apuli and co. are here to Win the Crown. No ifs, ands or buts. Captain Justin and his Summer Team just grabbed their first Crown in Franchise history by winning the Original Chicago Men’s “All Sports”. This version of Team Apuli is not quite the same crew as the Summer squad but just about all of them have Championship experience.. QB Andy Cohen amassed 5 TDs in their route over Team Saltzberg. He threw 3, ran in another and scored on a Pick-6 as well. Jake Miller caught 2 of his 3 TD passes. These guys already look like they are in mid-season form. They get Team Barbati in Week 3.

4. Team Kugler (Schweitzer Title) – 1-0

Welcome Back! Team Kugler is Captained by Owen Kugler and he along with Ben Detzner were apart of a dynasty a few years back in the Highland Park College/Prep Leagues (Team Greco). They have been dormant for a little while in All Sports Series but they burst back on to the scene on Thursday Night and throttled a solid Team Rudy squad. Both would score in their re-debut. QB1 Anthony Kopp had 3 TD passes and ran in another.  These guys looked like an Offensive juggernaut and they are going to need to put up some points to get to 2-0 in Week 3, when they take on #2 Team Tickman.

5. Team Elisco (SLA Insurance) – 1-1

Team Elisco had a great Week 1 and played well in Week 2 but were unable to come away with the W against new #2 Team Tickman. This group got all the way to the Championship Game a year ago and it shows how great the League is this Fall that through 2 Weeks, both Teams that were in the Championship a year ago, have already suffered a Loss. This group is going to be among the favorites to take the whole thing throughout the season, no matter if they drop one or two early.. They will look to bounce back against Team Rudy in Week 3.

Rest of the Pack (Alphabetical Order)

Team Barbati (Dr. Jacob D.D.S.) – 0-2

Team Barbati couldn’t get going on Offense in this one. They got shutout by the 2x Champs Team Jimenez. It happens. They will take the off-week to get back to the drawing board a bit and be ready to go for Week 3 when they take on #3 Team Apuli.

Team Rudy (The Bucket List) – 0-2

Team Rudy is off to a bit of a slow start this Fall but the core of this Team has been apart of countless All Sports Series Leagues. They have started fast, they have started slow.. They know it’s all about how you finish and they have tons of time to right the ship. They will take on #5 Team Elisco in Week 3 when we return on Sept. 28.

Team Saltzberg (Live Clean CHI) – 1-1

Team Saltzberg had a phenomenal Week 1 and followed it up with a Week 2 they’ll want to forgot.  They ran into a Team Apuli squad that routinely is among the title contenders and they just didn’t have their A-Game on Thursday, which you need to bring against Team Apuli. No harm done. It’s one Game. Plenty more left to play and they are just a Game Back of the only 2-0 squad Team Tickman. Next up for them, the 2x Champs Team Jimenez on Thursday Sept. 28. A perfect statement opportunity.

That’s it for Week 2. Enjoy the week off!
