All Sports Series Playoff Preview

Open. Rd.: 8. Team Horwitz (The Bucket List) v. 9. Team Shields (StudentCity)

Winner plays 1. Team Shlofrock (Schweitzer Title)

These Teams did not meet during the Regular Season. A season in which both Teams would assert that they under-achieved. We are used to seeing more out of both of these groups and for one of them they can make up for a lackluster past month or so by earning a Playoff W on Tuesday Night. The Winner moves into a Game with #1 Team Shlofrock who is Undefeated and will be heavy favorites. Each of these Teams have enough though to win not one but two Games and shock the world.. First things first, only one can survive the Opening Round. This should be a good one!

Elite8: 1. Team Shlofrock (Schweitzer Title) v. Winner 8/9

#1 Team Shlofrock awaits the Winners of #8 Team Horwitz and #9 Team Shields. No matter who the opponent is, the Undefeated #1 seed will be expected to punch their ticket to the Final4. Their opponent will likely start with a nice surge of momentum following their Opening Round W, if they can just withstand that early, they should be in good shape. They are the clear cut favorites to take the whole thing.

Open. Rd.: 7. Team Cohen (CEA Study Abroad) v. 10. Team Holzman (Biaggi’s Brown)

Winner plays 2. Team Darcy (Dr. Jacob D.D.S.)

This one has potential to be interesting. At their best – Team Cohen could be a top seed on Tuesday Nights. However, they have struggled with consistency in their Rotation and as a result, are starting their Playoff run in the Opening Round. These Two Teams did not meet in the Regular Season and both played well down the stretch.. This actually could steal the show on Tuesday Night if both groups play the way they are capable of. The Winners will move on to face 2x Champs #2 Team Darcy immediately following this one in the Elite8.

Elite8: 2. Team Darcy (Dr. Jacob D.D.S.) v. Winner 7/10

Team Darcy will take on the Winners of #7 Cohen v. #10 Holzman. Team Darcy has made 5 straight Final4s. They are favored to make it 6 straight and as long as they play their Game they will do just that. Team Cohen does pose one of the only rosters that can match their size and that will be a unique matchup if we get that far. Tuesday Night should be a fun one as they look to punch their ticket to the Semis yet again.

Open. Rd.: 6. Team Chaikin (Biaggi’s Pink) v. 11. Team Kaplan (Danley’s Garage)

This one is a Rematch from a few weeks back where Team Chaikin got an 18pt W. They will be favored to do so again. Team Chaikin tied for the 4th best record in the League but with tiebreakers fell to the #6 spot and the Opening Round. They have a very deep Team and multiple scorers who can go off. Team Kaplan is still capable of pulling off the upset though and if they can slow the Game down and make every possession really count, they could do it.. The Winner will take on #3 Team Tucci in the Elite8 on Tues. Nov 21.  This is another Game of the Night candidate. Get ready!

OFF in Week 1: 3. Team Tucci (Chicago Trolley), 4. Team Knox (Ojibwa), 5. Team Bollier (SLA Insurance)

Each of these 3 Teams are into the Elite8.  Teams Knox and Bollier will lock horns on Tues. Nov. 21 while #3 Team Tucci will play the Winner of #6. Team Chaikin v. #11 Team Kaplan. Until then, they can rest up and scoreboard watch!

CSSC Playoff Preview

4. Team Trauernicht (Air Ditka) v. 5. Team Indy (#3)

Winner plays 1. Team Tehensky (Hoop Dreams)

Both Teams are capable of running the table and going the distance.. Have to start with their first Playoff Win to do that though.. The Winners here will go on and face #1 Team Tehensky immediately following this one.. These Teams met all the way back in Week 1 and Team Trauernicht got their biggest W of the Season, by 20 points.. Team Indy is much improved since then and this should be a really even match-up. Good Luck!

1. Team Tehensky (Hoop Dreams) v. Winner 4/5

Team Tehensky got the #1 seed and with it they earned the opportunity to play the tired Winner of #4 Trauernicht v. #5 Indy right after the Opening Round Game. Now, the Winner of that Game will likely be feeling very confident and the first 10 minutes of this Final4 Game will be extremely important. If Tehensky and co. can weather the initial storm – they should be in good shape and move on to the Championship Game!

2. Team Berry (Littyville Lane) v. 3. Team Eiting (Brick by Brick)

Winner here goes to the ‘ship! These Teams met back on Halloween and Team Berry got the easy W 60-34. This will be a completely different Game though and Team Eiting has shown flashes over the past month of the Season. Team Berry and co. will be the aggressors here and if they play their best, they will move on to the Championship. Still, Team Eiting can slow the pace down some and if they are shooting well, will have a shot! Should be a fun one!

Good Luck to all the Teams on Tuesday Night! See you there!
