Power Rankings

1. Team Shlofrock (Schweitzer Title) – 6-0

Team Shlofrock just keeps on rolling.. They got their 6th straight win on Tuesday Nights last week against Team Bollier by a score of 72-68. Once again they showed their depth – 5 players were in double figures for them – including scorer Jake Lerman who had 18. Captain Jake, Adam Rhum, Brandon Lathon and  Jordan Silver were the others. They look to close out the perfect Regular Season on Tuesday Night against Team Horwitz and grab the #1 seed in the All Sports Playoffs.

2. Team Darcy (Dr. Jacob D.D.S.) – 5-1

Sticking at #2 this week is the 2x Champs Team Darcy. They defeated #7 Team Chaikin by 12 points on Tuesday Night. Tim Dunlavy finally looked back to normal and led the way with 21. He is such a Game-changer for them. His presence really opens up so many things for everyone else on the Team. Sam Martinez had 19 as well. When those 2 are clicking they are virtually unbeatable. They look to close out the Regular Season on a 4-Game Win streak on Tuesday Night.

3. Team Berry (Littyville Lane) – 5-1

Team Berry holds firm in the 3-hole as they crushed Team Eiting 60-34 during Week 6. Captain Kyle was their leading scorer again – with 22. Ian Tesmond had his best Game of the Season – scoring 12 points. Right now, they are tied with Team Tehensky at 5-1 atop the CSSC standings for the #1 seed. They’ll be scoreboard watching on Tuesday Night and hoping Tehensky and co. fall to Team Chaikin.

4. Team Tucci (Chicago Trolley) – 5-1

Rattling off their 5th straight Win is #4 Team Tucci.  They are as hot as anyone in the League and have their eyes on a top seed in the All Sports Playoffs. They destroyed Team Horwitz on Tuesday Night. Captain Tucci had 30 to lead the way and Michael Gomez was close behind with 29. Charlie Herr added 15 while Andrew Mamlic and CJ Ryan each had a dozen. That is balance and a high-powered offense, primed for a run in the Playoffs. They take on Team Knox in The Bucket List Game of the Week to close out the Season!

5. Team Tehensky (Hoop Dreams) – 5-1

Last week, we mentioned how good Teams don’t stay down for long after a Loss. Team Tehensky showed just that – as they rebounded from their first Loss of the Season on Tuesday Night to grab their 5th W. They won a nail-biter 62-60 with Team Kaplan.  David Dachman had his best night of the season thus far with 24 points. Captain Tehensky and Brennan Baker were both in double figures as well. They will take on #7 Team Chaikin in what should be a competitive Game as they try to secure a top spot in the CSSC Playoffs!

6. Team Knox (Ojibwa) – 4-2

Team Knox had a nice Week 6, bouncing right back after uncharacteristic performance in Week 5. This past Tuesday, they defeated Team Cohen 88-85 in what was a really fun Game for 44 minutes. Marcus White had 33 points to lead them in scoring. Tremell Adams had 30 to increase his average and he is so close to averaging 30 for the season — he’ll need to be in the 30s in Week 7 to do it. Captain Andre Knox had 14 as well. These guys will be a part of The Bucket List Game of the Week against #4 Team Tucci – huge Game for Playoff seeding.

7. Team Chaikin (Biaggi’s Pink) – 3-3

Team Chaikin dropped their Week 6 Game by 12 to #2 Team Darcy. They hold serve in the #7 spot though. It was a nice measuring stick Game for them, as they have shown that they can play with the League’s best throughout the season. Andy Stempel had 16 and Ben Simpson had 15. These guys are a dark-horse candidate to stun a top Team in the All Sports Playoffs next week – just putting it out there. They finish the Regular Season against CSSC’s #5 Team Tehensky.

8. Team Bollier (SLA Insurance) – 3-3

Maintaining the #8 spot this week is Team Bollier, following a close L to #1 Team Shlofrock. Chris Clark led the team in scoring with 17. Marcus Agee, Tim Rusthoven and Captain Bollier were all in double figures as well. This group is similar to #7 Chaikin. They are going to be able to compete with the top seeds come Playoff time and they could be the last Team standing in a few weeks. In Week 7, they take on Team Indy  #3.

9. Team Shields (StudentCity) – 1-5

Team Shields picked up their first W of the Season on Tuesday Night. Finally. FINALLY. They can exhale and just in time to focus on making a cinderella run in the Playoffs. Josh Sterns went off for 26 – easily his best Game of the Fall. Captain Connor and Will Hanson both had 10 as well in the Win. These guys are going to be a pain for some top Team come Playoff time as they are much more talented than their record indicates.

10. Team Holzman (Biaggi’s Brown) – 1-5

Jumping into the Rankings for the first time this Season is Team Holzman, following their 66-65 Win over #11 Team Trauernicht. Dan McCallum had 20 points to lead his Team to the Winner’s Circle. Sam Ofman shot the ball well too and had 14. If they can get that production on the Offensive end, they have more Wins to come this Season. They will finish up the Regular Season in Week 7 against Team Eiting who also will be looking for their 2nd Win of the year.

11. Team Trauernicht (Air Ditka) – 2-4

Rounding out the Rankings this week is Team Trauernicht who had another heartbreaking Loss in Week 6. They fell to Team Holzman by just one point. In the past 4 weeks they are 1-3 and their 3 Losses have come by a combined FOUR points. They could easily be 4-2 if not 5-1. Their luck will hopefully turn around soon. Josh Downen scored 24 last week to lead them in scoring.  They will look to close out the Regular Season with a Win against Team Cohen.

Rest of the Pack (Alphabetical Order)

Team Cohen (CEA Study Abroad) – 2-4

Team Cohen dropped a close on to Team Knox 88-85 on Tuesday Night. Their big men had a nice night though as Garrett Staniec led the Team in scoring with 25 and Kyle Daniels had 22. Derek Leeney also had 19 in the Loss. They take on #11 Team Trauernicht in a Game where they hope they can get some momentum prior to the Playoffs beginning next week.

Team Eiting (Brick by Brick) – 1-4

Team Eiting didn’t have their best showing against Team Berry in Week 6. Austin Swaney had 11 to lead them in scoring. They have a big double headerc coming up though in Week 7 where they’ll look to do some serious damage. They will take on both Team Holzman and Team Kaplan – both of whom they can get Wins against!

Team Horwitz (The Bucket List) – 2-4

Team Horwitz has been on a big slide since starting 2-0. They are just not playing the way that we know they can, and much of this is due to the constant rotation-changing. Sam Neron made his debut for this Season and scored 15. Roshan Thakker had 13. They are going to have a tough final week but need to get some confidence – forget W/L – and just feel good going into the Playoffs.

Team Indy (#3) – 1-5

Team Indy faced a determined Team Shields squad who was looking for their first Win in Week 6, and it didn’t go the way that they wanted.. Luke Pastina had 15 to lead them in scoring again and Chris Kinnerk had a dozen. They’ll have a tough matchup with #8 Team Bollier in Week 7 but they have enough to get the Win!

Team Kaplan (Danley’s Garage) – 2-4

Team Kaplan fell in a nail-biter on Tuesday Night. They lost 62-60 to Team Tehensky, in what was a well-played Game by both Teams. Zach Aranas led the way for them with 23 and Captain Kaplan had 14. They will be favored in Week 7 as they take on Team Eiting who will be competing in their 2nd of 2 Games on the evening.. Could be a perfect momentum-builder as the Playoffs are upon us!

That’s it for this week. Good Luck in the Regular Season finale!
