Power Rankings

1. Team Zimmerman (Sunset Foods) – In 3rd with 33 points

2-0 for the Back2Back Champs. No surprise there as they continue their dominance on Monday Nights. However, their margin of victory has been very tight. A week after getting past Team Lehrman on the Hoops court in OT, they held off the feisty Rookies – Team Stone in Floor Hockey by a score of 7-5. Team Zimmerman has excelled in Floor Hockey historically and a big reason why is mainstay Adam Harris. He celebrated his birthday on Monday by recording a Hat Trick and helping lead the Champs to another victory. In Week 3 they will turn their attention toward Rivals Team Apuli on the gridiron.

2. Team Dorfman (Hakimian Imports) – Tied for 1st with 38 points

Team Dorfman picked up their 2nd Win of the Summer on Monday Night against the Rookies Team Hubner. The youngsters pushed the Dynasty though in what will likely end up as the closest Softball Game we see this season. Team Dorfman eventually eeked by with the 8-7 W. Off-Season acquisition Jake Shlofrock making his presence felt early in the season, has had a fantastic start to the season.. He was the Leading scorer in Week 1 and then turned in a 3 for 4 at the dish on Monday with 3 runs scored and 2 RBI. Just another example as to why Daniel Dorfman and Joe Hakimian have been able to stay at the top for going on a decade.. These guys know how to make the right pick-ups in the pre-season every year. They take on newcomers Team Roberson in Flag Football in Week 3.

3. Team Kornblatt (RightFit Personal Training) – Tied for 1st with 38 points

Keeping pace with Teams Zimmerman and Dorfman at the top on Monday Night was Team Kornblatt who find themselves entrenched in the #3 spot following Week 2.  They took to the Softball field and got big 15-7 W over Rivals Team Apuli. Both Reed Adler and Jonathan Weinstein went 3 for 4 at the plate and combined for 5 runs scored on the night. Adam Goldberg also had a really nice Game for the 2nd consecutive week.. Aside from the Shlofrock acquisition by Team Dorfman, he may be the best signee of the Summer. Matthew Kornblatt and Derek Reinglass combined for 4 hits as well. These guys have been just so good these past couple of Summers. They will be tested for sure though in Week 3 when they go against the speed of a much younger Team Stone group.

4. Team Roberson (Live Clean CHI) – In 4th with 20 points

Team Roberson debuted in the “All Sports” League on Monday Night and picked up a really nice Floor Hockey Win over Team Lehrman. All Sports Series veteran and Captain Nick Roberson manned the net and helped set the tempo for his Team. In his All Sports Series debut, Philip Taylor had a couple of Goals. These guys kept the pressure up the entire night. Antonio Bonifazi can be thanked for a large part of that as he had a hat trick in this one. They will look to continue their early season winning ways when they take on one of the favorites — #2 Team Dorfman in what is The Bucket List Game of the Week!

5. Team Hubner (Biaggi’s) – Tied for 5th with 0 points

Team Hubner suffered a tough Loss on Monday Night. One that will be hard to get over, but they showed a lot on Monday Night. They had multiple-time Champs Team Dorfman on the ropes and while they didn’t earn the W, it bodes well for their chances later this Summer. They have gone toe to toe with a couple of the League’s finest Teams and haven’t batted an eyelash. Danny Stiefel, Alex Vogler and Danny Stiefel each had 3 hits on the night. Expect these guys to surge in July. They take on Team Lehrman on Monday Night in Flag Football.

Rest of the Pack (Alphabetical Order)

Team Apuli (Rockin’ Refuel) – Tied for 5th with 0 points

Team Apuli took to the Softball diamond against Team Kornblatt, who may be the best Softball squad in the League. They didn’t come out the W but nothing to be ashamed of there. Brian Behnke went 3 for 3 with a run scored and an RBI on the night. Scott Kandelman and Captain Just both turned in a pair of hits and continue the impressive starts to their personal campaigns. They now set their sights on the Flag Football field where they have been very strong historically.. They get the 2x Champs Team Zimmerman in what will be a fun one.

Team Lehrman (The Bucket List) – Tied for 5th with 0 points

Team Lehrman took to the Floor Hockey court against Team Roberson, who happened to be a sleeping Hockey giant (who knew?). They scored plenty here but just couldn’t keep up with the potent Roberson attack. They missed Sam Witt in this one who has shined Offensively in past Floor Hockey Leagues. Greg Jacobson had 2 Goals to lead them in scoring. They will now go with the rest of the League to Flag Football field in Week 3. Newcomers Team Hubner will be their opponents and one of those Teams will grab their first W of the young season.

Team Stone (Chipotle) – Tied for 5th with 0 points

Last but not least is Team Stone (remember, it is alphabetical down here — they’d be #6 this week).. Team Stone is the youngest group in the League, comprised of All Sports Series Rookies. They are an athletic and hungry bunch though that don’t seem too intimated by anything. On their first night, they took on the Back2Back Champs Team Zimmerman in what could be their best sport and only Lost 7-5. No moral victories here, but it was a promising debut for the young guns. Truman Faversham scored 2 Goals in his first Game. They look to grab the first W in Franchise History on Monday Night in Flag Football against the Undefeated Team Kornblatt.

That’s it for Week 2. See everyone on the gridiron!
