Power Rankings

1. Team Zimmerman (Sunset Foods) – In 3rd with 66 points

The defending champs will stay atop the Power Rankings once again after an impressive win in basketball against Team Hubner by the score of 53-41. Colin Rice had 15 and Bret Darci had 13 of his own. Next up for them is a much anticipated hoops game against undefeated Team Dorfman.

2. Team Dorfman (Hakimian Imports) – Tied for 1st with 71 points

Not much shake up in the Power Rankings once again this week, as the favorite to win their basketball game did just that, beating Team Lehrman 66-47. Adam Rhum scored 27 points to lead the team. Next up for them is Team Zimmerman in a hoops battle in what should be an All Sports Series “Instant Classic” game for the ages.

3. Team Kornblatt (RightFit Personal Training) – Tied for 1st with 71 points

Team Kornblatt will stay at the #3 spot as they have yet to lose this year. The most recent victim was Team Roberson, who they beat 66-44. Jonathan Horowitz led the team with 27 points, mostly from behind the arc. They look to stay undefeated next week against Team Lehrman in hoops.

4. Team Stone (Chipotle) – In 4th with 26 points

Team Stone had a great Week 4, and brought a ton of energy to each of their hoops games in their double header. They beat Team Apuli in an “Instant Classic” in Game 1 by the score of 52-50, and then easily handled Team Roberson by 20 points in Game 2. Cole Rodby scored a majority of their points in both games. Next up is another hoops matchup against Team Hubner.

5. Team Lehrman – Tied for 5th with 20 points

Rounding out the Top-5 is Team Lehrman. Team Lehrman could not keep the winning streak going, as they dropped their hoops matchup to Team Dorfman this week. Jesse Pollans was their only player in double figures. They look to bounce back next week in hoops once again against Team Kornblatt.

Rest of the Pack (Alphabetical Order)

Team Apuli (Rockin’ Refuel) – Tied for 7th with 0 points

Team Apuli nearly found the win column for the first time this season, but couldn’t pull off the W against Team Stone, losing by 2 points. Justin Apuli had 21 points, including a sweet And-1 4-point play (which you can see in the highlight video). They go for their first win of the year next week against Team Roberson in hoops.

Team Hubner (Biaggi’s) – Tied for 7th with 0 points

Team Hubner has still yet to find the win column this season after losing in hoops to Team Zimmerman 41-53. Ross Johnson was their leading scorer with 10 points. They go for win #1 next week against Team Stone in hoops.

Team Roberson (Live Clean CHI) – Tied for 5th with 20 points

Team Roberson suffered two losses this week in both of their hoops matchups, losing by 20+ points in each game. Debo Adesida scored 12 in Game 1. Up next for them is another hoops matchup against Team Apuli.

That’s all for this week. See you back on the court on July 17th!
