Power Rankings

1. Team Jiminez (cea Study Abroad) – 0-1

Team Jiminez are the Defending Champs and despite Losing in Week 1 to #3 Team Kornblatt, they have earned the right to at least start on top of the Rankings. They will have to Win next week though to keep it.. Their Roster has been overhauled a bit and it may take them a touch of time to get everyone acclimated to All Sports Series. They started slow last season before getting hot at the end so they won’t be too down after the L. Captain Alex hit Michael DiFrisco for a score in this one.  They get Team Holway in Week 2.

2. Team Apuli (StudentCity) – 1-0

Team Apuli may think they deserve the #1 spot exiting Week 1 and they may be right.. They’ll have to wait for one more Loss from the Defending Champs however to reach the top of the Rankings. This crew is seeking revenge from a Final4 run in the Fall that ended their Season a Game early… They looked fantastic on Tuesday Night as they got the Week 1 W against Team Holway. Michael Glink threw 3 TDs passing to two Harris’ (Scott and Brian) and a Miller (Jake). They have an early season clash with Rivals Team Guggenheim in Week 2!

3. Team Guggenheim (Chipotle)

Team Guggenheim got off to a big, big start on Tuesday Night as they took down the Defending Champs Team Jiminez to kick-off the season. Team Guggenheim brings back much of its core from the Fall. Despite losing two major playmakers in the Oscar Twins, they have added Andrew Sledd who is going to turn some heads this season.  Jeff Nault launched one to Captain Max Guggenheim in the first half down the sideline which resulted in the Winning TD.  These guys are looking to move up the Rankings next week and make a statement with Rivals #2 Team Apuli in Week 2.

Rest of the Pack (Alphabetical Order)

Team Holway (Biaggi’s) – 1-1

Team Holway played not one but two Games on Opening Night and they came away with a split. In their Opening Game, they faced #2 Team Apuli and couldn’t quite get it going on Offense. That was all the practice they needed though as the Offense really hit its stride in Game 2 v. Team Massel.. They’d pick up the W in Game. Captain Brad threw a League-High 4 TDs in this one and hit Zach Warren for 2 of those scores. They get Defending Champs Team Jiminez in what should be a great contest come Week 2.

Team Massel (Schweitzer Title) – 0-1

Team Massel had a tough task in Week 1. They had to take on Team Holway who was playing their 2nd Game of a Double Header. Now, sure Team Holway was tired from their first Game, but they had the opportunity to shake-off some rust prior to taking the field with Team Massel. These guys will be just fine. Jordan Schwartz threw a nice TD in the first half. They will get much of their roster back in Week 2 and be on their way.. They take on Team Roberson next Week.

Team Roberson (Dr. Jacob D.D.S.) – 0-0

Starts in Week 2.

That’s it for Week 1. See everyone for Week 2! Go Bulls and Go Hawks!
