Power Rankings

1. Team Holway (Biaggi’s) – 4-0

Team Holway got their biggest W of the Season on Tuesday Night. They went toe to toe with the former #1 Team Guggenheim (many have them as the favorites) and eeked out a Win 14-12, with a Game-Saving Defensive play on a 2pt Conversion late. Captain Brad continues to impress at QB. He ran for a TD and threw another to Tyler Max. They are one of the more electric combos in the League. These guys are humming right now and they look to make it to 5-0 against #3 Team Apuli in what is certainly Week 5’s Game of the Week!

2. Team Guggenheim (Chipotle) – 3-1

Team Guggenheim suffered their first L of the Season on Tuesday Night. They faced a young, fast and hungry Team Holway squad in Week 4 and came up 2pts short.  These guys are not going to be rattled by a simple Loss. They were without a couple regular starters and were in a position to Win it, they just didn’t get it this week. They are still among the favorites to hold the Crown at the end and Tuesday Night won’t change that. Jeff Nault ran for a score and tossed one to Brian Bonamarte. These guys are going to be anticipating a Rematch with Team Holway come Playoff time. Next week they get Team Roberson.

3. Team Apuli (StudentCity) – 3-1

Team Apuli got a big-time W on Tuesday Night against Team Massel and did so without normal QB Michael Glink. Captain Justin Apuli filled in admirably and was able to guide his Team to a W. They were also helped by one of the crazier Pick-6s you will ever see (about 6 laterals were involved in this one.. Watch the video, it’s great).  Captain Justin ran in a score and threw one to Mike Matasar as well. These guys are going to look to turn the Standings upside down next week. If they can defeat Team Holway, we could have a 3-way tie in 1st place between Apuli, Guggenheim and Holway (and all would be 1-1 against the other). BIG Game upcoming.

4. Team Jiminez (cea Study Abroad) – 1-3

Back into the Rankings this Week is Team Jiminez. The top-tier isn’t going to admit it, but they are not happy to see this crew get back in the Win-column. They took a very similar route to the Crown in the Fall. Slow start, then got going late and looked unbeatable come Playoff time. They scored more points than any Team in Week 4 and their Offensive woes seem to be in the rear view mirror. Captain Alex had a very nice Game.  They look to make it 2 in a row against Team Massel in Week 5.

Rest of the Pack (Alphabetical Order)

Team Massel (Schweitzer Title) – 0-4

While their record is not where they want it to be, these guys are playing well and are very dangerous. Jason Wenk tossed 2 TDs while filling in for Jordan Schwartz at QB – 1 of which went to Jack Mullen. These guys could have defeated #3 Team Apuli on Tuesday Night, if not for that crazy lateral play that saw Team Apuli score one of the more improbable TDs in recent history. They look to defeat Defending Champs Team Jiminez in Week 5.

Team Roberson (Dr. Jacob D.D.S.) – 1-3

Team Roberson faced a hungry Team Jiminez squad that refused to lose 4-straight in their Season as Defending Champs. Ryan Lederman played well at QB as these guys continue to gel with one another as a unit. He hit Anthony Moore for a score in this one. This group, with a bit more time, could be awfully dangerous. They will take on #2 Team Guggenheim in Week 5.

That’s it for Week 4, have a great weekend and see everyone on Tuesday Night!
