Power Rankings

1. Team Darcy (Badger Bowl Lime) – 3-0

We started the evening with a Championship-caliber matchup between #1 Team Darcy and Team Tucci who is talented enough to be the last Team standing.. This one went back and forth and Team Darcy was able to pull away in the final stretch.  Sam Martinez hit a few key shots late in the Game for the second time this season. He’d finish with 18 points to lead them in scoring.  They will have their hands full with the surprise of the season thus far.. #2 Team Unger in Week 4’s Game of the Week!

2. Team Unger (Barn & Co.) – 3-0

They have been the best surprise of the Spring League season.. They now sit at 3-0 with 3 Wins over extremely quality opponents. Judd Barron was once again the high scorer with 25 points in a defensive battle with Team Winegardner. Captain Max Unger had 15 in the Win as well. They now look ahead to Week 4 where they can ascend from Contenders to Favorites with a Win over Undefeated #1 Team Darcy. One Team will make it to 4-0… Who will it be?

3. Team Reich (Dr. Jacob D.D.S.) – 1-2

Team Reich entered the season as one of the favorites to win the whole thing.. On Thursday Night they showed exactly why.. They dominated from the opening tip over previously unbeaten Team Halperin.. Team Reich dropped the first 2 Games of the young season but now if you look at who they faced (both #1 Team Darcy and #2 Team Unger) those two Losses don’t look like much to worry about whatsoever.. Tremell Adams led with 26 and Andre Knox had 14 to help out as well. These guys are going to be a nightmare for their opponents the rest of the way.. They get #6 Team Kaplan in Week 4.

4. Team Schmack (Shamrocks) – 3-1

The first CSSC squad into the Rankings this week is Team Schmack. They fell to a solid #6 Team Kaplan club on Thursday Night but have shown a lot in their first few weeks of the season and now sit at 3-1.  Abram Sexson led the way in double figures for these guys.  They just couldn’t get the ball to stay down on Thursday Night but you can look for them to rebound soon. They get #7 Team Colmery in Week 4.

5. Team Halperin (Badger Bowl Gold) – 2-1

After starting the season 2-0, they took a bit of a step backward on Thursday Night.. Realistically, no one in the League would have defeated Team Reich when they are hitting shots like that.. Wrong place and wrong time for Team Halperin who is still sitting in good shape at 2-1. Justin Ward led them in scoring in Week 3 with 16 points. They take on #8 Team Karmin in Week 4.. Another squad who is off to a 2-1 start.

6. Team Kaplan (Badger Bowl Neon) 2-1

Team Kaplan got their second blowout Win in the first 3 weeks of the season on Thursday Night. Captain Brett Kaplan led the way with 16 points on the night. They took it to Team Schmack in one of the first cross-over Games in All Sports Series history.. They played very well and offered a balanced attack throughout. Their Defense was also swarming in this one. Can they get to 3-1 against #3 Team Reich next week?

7. Team Colmery (StudentCity) – 2-1

Up and into the Rankings for the first time this season is Team Colmery who are now 2-1 and Winners of two in a row. They are the deepest Team in the League and can run several different looks and lineups at opponents over the course of the Game. Fatigue will never be an issue for them.. Vince Carballo was their leading scorer and in double figures. They look to make it three in a row against #4 Team Schmack in Week 4.

8. Team Karmin (Farm Lake Barn) – 2-1

Another Team that has risen into the Rankings this week is Team Karmin.  They got their second straight Win on Thursday Night and had one or two shots fallen in the final minute against Team Amzaleg in the first week of the season they could really be undefeated right now. They defeated Indy Team #4 in the first cross-over Game in All Sports Series history. Anthony Horton had 20 points, Jon Horwitz had 17 and Graham Conatser had a dozen to help shoulder the scoring burden here. This group is crafty and fights hard on D. They are going to agitate teams this season.. They get #5 Team Halperin in Week 4.

9. Team Tucci (Ian’s Pizza) – 1-2

Team Tucci has had a tough to schedule start.. In fact, they have seen Top-3 Teams in the Rankings to start the season.. Know what that means? They have a Win-Streak ahead as their schedule will have to get easier. This club can shoot it with anyone and likes to get into scoring contests. They got cold in the final stretch against Team Darcy and fell as a result.. Captain Alan led them in scoring once again with 25 on the night. They look to bounce back to .500 against Team Amzaleg in Week 4.

10. Team Indy #4 – 2-1

Team Indy #4 is another CSSC Team breaking into the Top-10. They are off to a nice start at 2-1 even after falling in a closely contested battle with #8 Team Karmin on Thursday Night. They were in it until the end and just needed one or two more shots to go down.. Dan Murdock had 18, DaRon Greason and Joe Hnilo had 14 to take care of much of their scoring on Thursday Night. They now look ahead to a Game with Team Golman, who is looking for their first W of the season.

11. Team Buchanan (Tremendous Upside) – 1-3

Rounding out the Top-11 this week is Team Buchanan who got their first W of the Season on Thursday Night. They are one of the CSSC Teams and the 3rd to appear in the Rankings this week. Andrew Desmarais was firing all night and scored 24 to lead them. Rytas Vygantas had 18 and Jason Kellerman had 12 in their first contest with the All Sports Series format. They look to make it two in a row next week against the scrappy Team Shaffer squad.

Rest of the Pack (Alphabetical Order)

Team Amzaleg (Biaggi’s) – 1-2

Team Amzaleg battled with Team Shaffer on Thursday Night and came up just a bit short. Ian Bohan had a huge 33 points and that was enough to actually lead the League in scoring in Week 3. Colin Ric added 20 of his own but the struggled to get anyone else really going in this one. Team Shaffer is scrappy and forces their opponents into taking shots they may not really want.. They will take on another 1-2 squad – Team Tucci in Week 4.

Team Golman (SLA Insurance) – 0-3

Team Golman is still searching for their first Win of the Season but you can see that they are improving. The second half against Team Buchanan in Week 3 was likely the best half they have played yet.. Sam Hershman was their leading scorer with 10 points. He has the ability to take over a Game, he along with the rest of his squad are just feeling each other out still. This group has Wins in it. They get #10 Team Indy #4 in Week 4.

Team Kalina (Plante Moran) – 1-3

Team Kalina is a CSSC Team that took the court in their first All Sports Series Game on Thursday Night. They played against the army that is Team Colmery and their dozen players. Marc Reno was their leading scorer in a Game that the ball would just not stay down for them. They will look better than this in future weeks and surely have some talent. They get Team Winegardner in their next Game. Both Teams want this one!

Team Shaffer (Badger Bowl Red) – 1-1

Team Shaffer picked up their first W of the season on Thursday Night to pull even at .500. They were without Captain Ian and a few guys really stepped up in his absence to help assure the W against Team Amzaleg. Dan Lehtman had 26 points to lead them in scoring (an amount Team Zimmerman would love to see out of him on Sundays!) and Jon Nickow also went for 20+.  These guys are well balanced and really fight on the Defensive end. They’ll be up and into the Rankings soon!

Team Winegardner (Sushi Kushi Too) – 0-2

Again, want to remind everyone.. This section is listed alphabetically.. Team Winegardner would not be at the bottom otherwise.. They played #2 Team Unger to a close and competitive Game.. It really was closer than the score indicates.. They just couldn’t over take them down the stretch.. Jonathon Frosolone made his Hoops debut for All Sports Series and had 16 to lead his crew in scoring.  They take on Team Kalina in Week 4 and try to snap the skid.

That’s it for this week. See everyone on Thursday Night!
