Updated: February 15, 2017

We had a big time clash at the top of the Rankings and we saw Team Darcy move to 4-0 after their stellar defeat of previously undefeated Team Unger. The question for Team Darcy now becomes.. Can the last undefeated Team left standing in the Regular Season be the final Team left standing in the post-season?  We also have a pair of Overtime Games to close the night out on Thursday. Tons of excitement as the season is in full gear!

Power Rankings

1. Team Darcy (Badger Bowl Lime) – 4-0

No surprise here.. Team Darcy, the only undefeated Team left in the League sits atop the Power Rankings and Standings at 4-0. However, they don’t have much wiggle room as there are still plenty of teams nipping at their heals like CSSC’s Team Schmack at 4-1.  Doug Wollney led the way with 16 points in this one for Team Darcy. They move on to go for 5-0 against #7 Team Halperin.

2. Team Schmack (Shamrocks) – 4-1

Team Schmack continues to impress as they took down Team Colmery who had won 2 in a row coming into Thursday Night. They now sit at 4-1 and are just half a Game back from the 4-0 Team Darcy in the Standings. Jack Garrity led them in scoring with 19 on Thursday Night. They now look forward to a Thursday Night with TWO games.. They will take on Team Amzaleg and then Team Indy #4 on Thursday Night.

3. Team Reich (Dr. Jacob D.D.S.) – 2-2

Bouncing back from their 0-2 start is Team Reich who now sit comfortably at .500 after winning two straight. This past Thursday they defeated a stellar Team Kaplan squad. Both Tremell Adams and Captain Derek Reich went for 20 points in Week 4. They take on Team Winegardner in Week 5 when they try to stretch their win-streak to 3!

4. Team Unger (Barn & Co.) – 3-1

Small step back this week was Team Unger after suffering their first Loss of the Season. They just didn’t shoot the ball as well as they had in the first 3 weeks and as a result couldn’t keep up with #1 Team Darcy.  Judd Barron once again was their leading scorer with 26 and Max Unger had 18 in this one. They move on to Week 5 where they will face off with #8 Team Kaplan in what should be a good one.

5. Team Karmin (Farm Lake Barn) – 3-1

Moving up a few spots to round out the Top-5 is Team Karmin who now have won 3 in a row.  We keep repeating this but they are just a few bad minutes away from being Undefeated on the season still.. Anthony Horton put up 19 in the Win and is getting more and more comfortable playing with his new teammates with each passing week. They will take on #9 Team Buchanan who have won a couple in a row as well.. Something has to give on Thursday Night.

6. Team Tucci (Ian’s Pizza) – 2-2

Back to the .500 mark is Team Tucci who have moved back a step and then up a step, each week so far this season.. They looked very good on Thursday and did so without a few of their regulars. Captain Alan Tucci had 21 here and Tommy Fernitz 20 to lead them in their victory over Team Amzaleg. It was one of those nights when everyone was involved.. Drew Zahora had 17 and Bryan Van Horn went for 16.. They look to win back to back games for the first time this season against another 2-2 squad.. Team Colmery.

7. Team Halperin (Badger Bowl Gold) – 2-2

Team Halperin started 2-0 but have now lost a couple in a row.. They are still in great shape at .500 and when at their best are as dangerous as any other group in the League. They lost to a very stellar Team Karmin squad. Captain Joey Halperin had 16 to lead his team in scoring. They now look to shake off the past couple of weeks and put the entire League on notice when they take on #1 Team Darcy. This group has the talent required to knock those guys off. Not everyone can say that. Should be a fun one!

8. Team Kaplan (Badger Bowl Neon) 2-2

They suffered their second Loss of the Season but looked very impressive this past Thursday. They were under-manned and still hung with the tough Team Reich for most of their Week 4 contest. Jacob Preskill went off – scoring 27 points to try and keep his Team in it here. He actually was the leading scorer in the League on Thursday Night. They get the tough #4 Team Unger in what could steal the show in Week 5.

9. Team Buchanan (Tremendous Upside) – 2-3

They had a tough start to the season but since “the merger” they have won two straight and are climbing up the Rankings. This past Thursday, they defeated the scrappy Team Shaffer squad in what was an intense battle. Jason Kellerman led them in scoring with 16 and Andrew Desmarais had 14 as well. These guys look to make it 3 in a row and get back to .500 when they take on #5 Team Karmin on Thursday Night.

10. Team Colmery (StudentCity) – 2-2

Sliding down a couple spots this week is Team Colmery.. They are still at .500 and nothing to worry about here. They lost to the #2 Team Schmack crew. They had 3 guys in double figures.. Anthony Chignoli, Vince Carballo and Cory Finke. They look to bounce back against Team Tucci who they are tied in the Standings with right now..

11. Team Winegardner (Sushi Kushi Too) – 1-2

Team Winegardner got their first W of the Season and in heart-stopping fashion.. They gritted out the Win in Overtime over Team Kalina. Captain Sam Winegardner led the way with 19 points and spearheaded their second-half run and eventually earned the Win. They look to climb back to .500 with the always imposing Team Reich. Both Teams have a lot of size. This one should be fun in the paint.

Rest of the Pack ( Alphabetical Order )

Team Amzaleg (Biaggi’s) – 1-3

Catching Team Tucci when they are on is one of the harder assignments in any All Sports Series League. Team Tucci have the ability to go OFF and they were draining for way downtown. Matt Futterman led them in scoring on Thursday with a dozen. They look to rebound this Thursday Night against #2 Team Schmack!

Team Golman (SLA Insurance) – 1-3

Got their first Win of the season and all it took was 3 overtimes to get them there! This one was quite the marathon but they banded together and got the Win. Todd Neuhausen scored 20 points to help shoulder much of the Offensive burden here. He actually would seal the Win for his Team at the Free Throw line with the very rare Sudden Death Free Throw attempt.  Austin Hesch had a dozen as well. These guys are learning to play with one another and are improving rapidly. They will be a tough out come Playoff time. Next up – Team Kalina.

Team Indy #4 – 2-2

Suffered a heartbreaking defeat at the hands of Team Golman in Triple-OT on Thursday Night. They battled for close to an hour of in-Game action with Team Golman but just couldn’t come up with a go-ahead basket late. DaRon Greason had 17 to lead his squad in scoring. They move on to this Thursday Night where they will suit up not once, but twice! They take on both Team Shaffer and Team Schmack in a Double Header!

Team Kalina (Plante Moran) – 1-4

They went the distance with Team Winegardner but that wasn’t enough to settle this one.. They would go in to Overtime but just came up a touch short on Thursday Night.  Joey Dempsey was their leading scorer and was in double figures on Thursday Night! They take on both Team Shaffer and Team Schmack in what should be an exciting night!

Team Shaffer (Badger Bowl Red) – 1-2

Team Shaffer battled with Team Buchanan until the very end on Thursday Night but just couldn’t over take the lead Buchanan and co. had built up during the second half. Both Ian Shaffer and Jon Nickow had 10 points in this one to account for close to half of the Team’s scoring. These guys have the ability to keep every Game close even when shots aren’t falling.. Expect them to rebound when facing Team Indy #4 in Week 5!

That’s it for this Week. See everyone on Thursday Night!
