Power Rankings

1. Team Zisook (Rockin’ Refuel) – In 1st with 33 points

Team Zisook came out with a vengeance this Week after being Ranked #2 last week. They followed suit in this week’s volleyball tournament after handling their opponent swiftly in Hoops last Wednesday. With help from good back row passing and big Jordan Krawitz in the middle, Team Zisook breezed through their pool en route to a 1st place volleyball finish. They did so with just 4 players as well. Very impressive.

2. Team Stotter (First Bank of HP) – In 2nd with 27 points

After a nice Win in Hoops one week ago, Team Stotter came to play for their Volleyball tournament. This Rookie team continued to impress as they came in 2nd place in their volleyball pool. They played scrappy defense and held strong at the net. These guys are a quality, well-rounded team and you can expect them to make it deep into the Playoffs come late July.

3. Team Wellek (Dr. Jacob D.D.S) – Tied for 9th with 0 points

Team Wellek is experiencing the infamous “Championship Hangover.” Just like the Chicago Cubs, this Team is not off to the start they were looking for after a brilliant 2016 season. Not to fear, this team is incredibly athletic and will make a strong mid-season push to the playoffs.  Points are on the horizon for them.

4. Team Gordon (Gordon Bros.) – In 3rd with 21 points

This veteran team is off to a quality start. They move up a spot in the Rankings. They handled Team Fialkow in last week’s Hoops matchup and showed off their volleyball skills by coming in 3rd place in a tough division. If they can continue to get points each week, they are going to be in great shape in the Playoffs. They would admit that volleyball isn’t their strongest sport, which just makes them all the more dangerous come football and softball time.

5. Team Sernick (Chipotle) – Tied for 4th with 18 points

Team Sernick moves down just a spot after Week 2. They picked up 3 points from a 4th place finish in volleyball after last week’s win in Hoops. This team displays consistency on both the basketball and volleyball court, so be on the look out for them as we move to the football and softball fields.  They show signs of a future Championship group. They are composed and well-rounded.

6. Team Fialkow (SLA Insurance) – Tied for 4th with 18 points

After a slow start in Week 1, Team Fialkow completely flipped the script en route to a dominating 5-0 week of volleyball and a 1st place finish. Team Fialkow has some former high school volleyball players, highlighted by the setter/hitter duo of Cameron Hillocks and Captain Jonah Fialkow. Be careful of this veteran team on the softball and football fields in the upcoming weeks.  Momentum has been attained.

7. Team Tickman (Once Upon) – In 6th with 12 points

Just like Team Fialkow at #6, #7 Team Tickman had an exciting Week 2 following a loss in Week 1. They came in 2nd place behind Team Zisook in their volleyball pool. This was after losing their first 2 Games on the day.. They didn’t give up and attained 12 points as a result. If this team can stay healthy and have a full roster, they will be major competitors.

8. Team Gerszonovicz (Baker Boys) – In 7th with 6 points

Following a loss to a great Team Stotter Hoops team in Week 1, Team Gerszonovicz managed to pick up 6 points en route to a 3rd place finish in their volleyball pool. They excel in the outdoor sports… This is a talented football team and they will look forward to showing off their skills on the field in the upcoming weeks. The fact that they got points in Volleyball is just an added bonus.

Rest of the Pack (Alphabetical Order)

Team Baer (Sushi Kushi Too) – Tied for 9th with 0 points

Team Herzog (StudentCity) – Tied for 9th with 0 points

All Sports Series Rookies – Team Herzog – got their feet wet in their first All Sports Series action on Wednesday Night. While volleyball might not be their best sport, they definitely will be competitive in other sports. Look out for them coming back for some revenge next week. Welcome to the League!

Team Liss (Testing Timers) – In 8th with 3 points

The Team Liss name has been around All Sports Series since 2011.. However, this is a totally new crew led by the youngest brother – Jonathan. This young team had their All Sports Series debut in volleyball on Wednesday Night and started off strong. Taking fourth place in their division is a big feat for a new team. Although they may be young, they have a ton of skill, especially in football. Be weary of them in the upcoming weeks. Welcome!

Team (Sunset Foods)

That’s it for Week 2. Have a great weekend!
