Playoffs Week 1 Review:

Opening Rd: 7. Team Goldman (Sushi Kushi Too) v. 8. Team Kirsch (SLA Insurance)

Winner plays 2. Team Lehrman in the Elite8

The Winner here knew they were to move on and play #2 Team Lehrman right away in the Elite8 round. The weather was chilly and Defense ruled this Game for the most part. Jonah Long would eventually run in a TD for Team Goldman to get them the 6-0 lead.. They would add a Safety and that was more than enough as their Defense was all over the field.. Team Goldman would advance to the Elite8!

For Team Kirsch – they didn’t finish with their desired W/L record but this group improved as the Season went on and certainly had a lot of fun out there. They were a younger group and will have time to re-build a bit in the off-season before making another push in the Fall of 2018. Thanks for playing!

Elite8: 2. Team Lehrman (Camp Ojibwa) v. 7. Team Goldman (Sushi Kushi Too)

Fresh off their Opening Round W, #7 Team Goldman was feeling pretty good.. #2 Team Lehrman – one of the favorites for the Crown – knew that hey needed to squash that momentum early to take care of business.. and that is exactly what they did.. Noah Prebish had 3 TDs via the air and 2 on the ground to account for 5 scores in the Team Lehrman 40-0 Playoff Win! With his 5 scores he has now surpassed Team Goldberg’s Daniel Michelon for the League-Lead in TDs and they will get to duke it out throughout Championship Sunday.  Team Lehrman is moving on to the Final4 and they will take on #6 Team Saps!

For Team Goldman – their Playoff journey ends sooner than they hoped but they really did have a great season. Only a few Teams get Playoff Ws each season and they were among that short-list. They improved as the Season went on and they have a bright future ahead of them. Thanks for playing and we’ll see you next Fall!

Elite8: 4. Team Dincin (Biaggi’s Brown) v. 5. Team Powers (Schweitzer Title)

Team Dincin and Team Powers were meeting here in the 4/5 Game with the goal of moving on and trying to knock off #1 Team Goldberg in the Final4. Team Dincin played what might have been their most complete Game of the Year and it was at the perfect time.. They would win this one 34-12. Dylan Weiskirch threw a TD to Jared Mendiola and he also scampered in for 3 Rushing TDs in this one. Joshua Mack had 2 TDs for Team Powers but it just wasn’t enough against the clicking Team Dincin Offense. Captain Dincin and co. will move on to the Final4 and take on #1 Team Goldberg!

For Team Powers – they too were one of the younger Teams in the field and they have a lot of Games left to play in future seasons. They earned a Top-5 seed which is something they should really be proud of. They’ll come back stronger next Fall and be one of the favorites for the Crown. Thanks for playing!

BYE to Final4: 1. Team Goldberg (Dr. Jacob D.D.S.)

#1 Team Goldberg is just two Wins away from the perfect Season and the Crown.. First up, is #4 Team Dincin in the Final4!

BYE to Final4: 6. Team Saps (Biaggi’s Gold)

Team Saps caught a break with #3 Team Gerszonovicz needing to bow out of the Playoffs.. #6 Saps now moves on to the Final4 and matchup with #2 Team Lehrman.. They’ll try and take out both #2 and #1 on Championship Saturday en route to the Crown!

That’s it for the first Week of the Playoffs. Good Luck to the Final4 and thanks for playing!
