Power Rankings

1. Team Goldberg (Dr. Jacob D.D.S.) – 2-0

Team Goldberg put up insane numbers for the second straight week. In fact, for the second straight week they Won 44-0. Not sure if that is their favorite number or what, but they have certainly put the entire League on notice. Their latest victim was Team Goldman. QB1 Daniel Michelon threw another 4 TDs and ran in 2 more.. His 6 on the day brings his total to 11 on the season and he has a nice lead for the League Lead in TDs as a result. Ziv Tal and Hayden Katz both grabbed 2 Tds in this one. They will actually have a BYE when we return on Oct. 7 but then will take on Team Saps on Oct. 14.

2. Team Gerszonovicz (Twice as Fit) – 2-0

Lost in the explosive start that has been #1 Team Goldberg is the 2-0 start for #2 Team Gerszonovicz. They had to work a bit harder for their 2nd W of the year, but earned the 21-18 W over Team Dincin late in the Game on Saturday afternoon. QB Noah Shutan had a great Game, with 2 TDs by air and 1 on the ground. They have a Double Header coming up on Saturday and as a result have an opportunity to actually jump Team Goldberg for first in the Standings. They take on both Team Goldman and #5 Team Saps on Saturday Oct. 7!

3. Team Lehrman (Camp Ojibwa) – 2-0

Team Lehrman also go to 2-0 on Saturday afternoon. They got a 27-6 W over Team Saps in a really impressive showing. Noah Prebish threw 2 TDs and ran in a score too. Shael Plofsky and Max Goodhart scored a TD here for them as well. They look ahead to a date with Team Kirsch where a Win would get them over #1 Team Goldberg in the Stadnings who is on a BYE this week.

4. Team Powers (Schweitzer Title) – 2-1

Team Powers had a Double Header this past Saturday and won both Games to get to 2-1 on the season! First they defeated Team Kirsch 21-0 and then Team Goldman 27-26 in 3OT! It was the Game of the day for sure! QB1 Joshua Mack totaled 7 TDs on the day. Dex Strongin also caught a TD in both Games of the Double Header. Their Wins catapulted them into the #4 spot. Next, they get a tough Team Dincin squad on Saturday afternoon.

5. Team Saps (Biaggi’s Gold) – 2-1

Rounding out the Top-5 this week is Team Saps. They had a Double Header as well on Saturday and managed to split the Games 1-1. They defeated Team Kirsh 26-14 and then fell to Team Lehrman 27-6 with tired legs in Game 2. Kyle Powers had a nice day for them. He is up to 8 Total TDs which is tied for 2nd in the entire League for scoring plays. They look ahead to Saturday Oct. 7 where they will take on the strong #2 Team Gerszonovicz. If they can grab a W in that one, they will ascend next week’s Rankings for sure.

Rest of the Pack (Alphabetical Order)

Team Dincin (Biaggi’s Brown) – 0-2

Team Dincin fell to #2 Team Gerszonovicz late in the second half of their Game on Saturday. They Lost 21-18 but it was a great effort on their part. Donnie Winger threw 1 TD and ran in 2 more. Ryan Jones caught the TD reception. These guys are going to break through for a Win here soon. Too much talent not to. They take on #4 Team Powers on Oct. 7.

Team Goldman (Sushi Kushi Too) – 0-3

Team Goldman had a Double Header on Saturday afternoon against both #1 Team Goldberg and #4 Team Powers. They would rather forget the meeting with #1 Goldberg (as many will see soon) but their second Game of the day showed what they are really made of. They fell 27-26 in 3OT against Team Powers but they kept fighting the entire Game, and then some.. These guys are going to get their first Win here shortly. You can count on that. Sam Shachtman had 4 total TDs in the OT classic. He’s one to watch as we move forward.. They face #2 Team Gerszonovicz next week.

Team Kirsch (SLA Insurance) 0-3

Team Kirsh fell in 2 Games on Saturday afternoon. They took on Team Powers and didn’t play their best Game but rebounded well in Game 2 and showed improvement against Team Saps. Both Ben Kirsch and Max Baum rushed for TDs in Game 2. They are going to get better. Still tons of time for them to earn victories. They take on the tough #3 Team Lehrman in their next Game.

That’s it for this week. Good Luck to everyone next Saturday!
