Power Rankings

1. Team KSig SO (StudentCity) – 3-0

Biggest Win in this young Franchise’s career thus far.. They took down their older bros. of KSig JR and in doing so got to 3-0 on the season. They defeated them 71-65. Cole Rodby led the way in scoring with 27 and Griffin Gibbons had 19 on the night. These guys come at you from everywhere on the court and it was fun to watch the dynamic of them attacking the other KSig squad.. They are the new #1 and much deserved. They will once again be at the center of attention on Tuesday Night in the StudentCity Game of the Week as they take on new #2 Theta Chi. Only one Team can get to 4-0!

2. Team Theta Chi (MacTaggart’s Orange) – 3-0

As we mentioned at the top, Theta Chi got to 3-0 on Tuesday Night, ahead of their big Week 4 battle with new #1 Team KSig SO. They will have a chance to claim the #1 spot next week in that Game. As for last Tuesday, they defeated Sammy FR/SO 84-54 in what might have been their most impressive outing yet. These guys just have so much firepower. They are averaging 68.7 points per Game as a Team through 3 weeks and that is the highest average in the League. We’ll see if KSig SO can slow them down in Week 4.

3. Team KSig JR (Ian’s Pizza) – 2-1

Team KSig JR fell back a couple spots this week after dropping their first Game of the Season against their younger bros. KSig SO on Tuesday Night. That will make it sting a little bit more but some extra fuel in the tank won’t hurt them in the back half of the season.. Captain Luke Libert had 22 in this one. Mike Willis chipped in with 17 of his own. They just couldn’t get enough stops against the very potent KSig SO offense. They look to rebound against Team Sammy FR/SO in Week 4, and a Win will mean they hop back up into the Top-2 – with Theta Chi and KSig SO squaring off this week.

4. Team Fiji (Biaggi’s Purple) – 1-2

The Defending Champs – Team Fiji are back into the Rankings at #4 following their first W of the Season on Tuesday night against old rivals Team Sammy JR/SR.  These guys are off the schnide now and can focus on just getting some momentum to shoot up the Standings. They had 4 guys in double figures on Tuesday Night. Kenji Passini – 18, Jackson Tillotson – 16, Captain Grant Bailey – 15 and Tony Stella – 14. When you have that kind of production from the whole line-up you are going to Win. Plain and simple. They aim for .500 against another 1-2 club – Team DU on Tuesday Night.

5. Team DU (The Bucket List) – 1-2

Rounding out the Top-5 this Week is Team DU. They earned their first Win of the Season in Week 3 as they defeated AEPi by 24 points! They really worked hard on the Defensive end, holding AEPi to just 43 points on the night. Their Defense has been excellent all season-long.. They are averaging a League-best 43 points against per Game. Opposing Offenses are struggling against them.. They look to keep that up against a sharp-shooting squad in Defending Champs and current #4 Team Fiji.

Rest of the Pack (Alphabetical Order)

Team AEPi (MacTaggart’s Blue) – 0-3

Team AEPi did not have their best Game on Tuesday Night. They faced a DU squad that entered Week 3 also looking for their first Win of the Season and just came up short. That DU team has been excellent Defensively this year and that trend continued on Tuesday Night against AEPi. These guys know how to Win Games and it is only a matter of time until they get back on track. They face Sammy JR/SR in Week 4.

Team Sammy FR/SO (Biaggi’s Gray) – 1-2

Not the best night for Sammy FR/SO in Week 3. They took on #2 Theta Chi and it just didn’t go the way they had hoped. For now, they get bounced out of the Rankings but plenty of time for them to fight their way back in. They are struggling to find consistency on the Offensive end and that will happen from time to time for younger Teams. They have what it takes to Win Games and it’ll happen again soon. They take on #3 Team KSig JR who is coming off of their first L of the Season. A win there would pull them even with KSig JR in the Standings.

Team Sammy JR/SR (CEA Study Abroad) – 1-2

Last but not least this week is Sammy JR/SR- remember this is Alphabetical down here. They’d be #6 this Week if we Ranked that many. They fell to Defending Champs Team Fiji in Week 3, a club that they have had several battles with over the years. 3 Players were in double figures for them.. Daniel Ostrower had 20, Jared Nossen went for 16 and Joshua Grossman had a dozen. They will not stay down for long and you can expect them to hop back into the Rankings here shortly. They take on the winless AEPi in Week 4.

That’s it for Week 3. Good Luck to everyone in Week 4!
