Power Rankings

1. Team Porter – 3-0

Another dominating performance for Team Porter in Week 3. By the final score of 91-48 over Team Double RIM Jobs, Team Porter picked up their third straight Win to remain unbeaten to start their Fall 2018 THURSDAY campaign. Captain Eric put on a show once again on Thursday evening, pouring in 35 points to bring his season average to just under 38 PPG! Captain Eric is off to an amazing start this season and has topped at least 32 points in all three of his teams Wins. Luke McDermott recorded 22 points in the Win for Team Porter, while Daniel Nikitas pitched in with 15 points of his own. These guys will have their first major test of the season as mentioned at the top, as they will tip-off against fellow unbeaten #2 Team Sharrin (2-0) in the Week 4 Game of the Week!

2. Team Sharrin – 2-0

Moving up 2 spots in the Week 3 Power Rankings after a dominating performance in our Week 3 Game of the Week is non-other than Team Sharrin. Zach Hilgendorf recorded a Week 3 league high 43 points during Thursday’s 83-53 win over former #2 Team MACS. Team Sharrin is clearly granting Hilgendorf all the freedom in the world on the court, and thus far he certainly has not disappointed through the first 2 weeks of the season. Bret Darcy and Conor Bayer also had nice nights, combining to score 25 points to help put this game away. Team Sharrin will now need to put this Win in their rear-view mirror and focus on what is next on their schedule, a date with the #1 and highest scoring team in the league, Team Porter (3-0). The two highest scoring players in the league (Eric Porter and Zach Hilgendorf) will be going H2H in our Week 4 Game of the Week!

3. Da Bulls – 2-1

Staying in the #3 hole in the Week 3 Power Rankings following their solid 70-58 victory on Thursday night over INDY Team #3 is Team Da Bulls. Da Bulls bounced back very nicely in Week 3 following their heart-breaking 1-point loss in Week 2. The squads leading scorer, Joshua Dix, once again led his squad in scoring in their Week 3 victory, posting a solid 21 points. Captain Jake Bianchi had his highest scoring night of the season, posting a very nice 13-point performance to help lead his club to their 2nd victory on the season. This was a very nice all-around team performance as Christopher Kinnerk, Mark Doman and Jacob Essington all combined to score 24 points to help seal the victory in this one. They’ll look to keep this winning momentum rolling in Week 4 when they take the court against a Team Copters (0-3) squad that will be doing everything in their power to record their first victory on the season.

4. MACS – 2-1

Falling to the #4 spot following their Week 3 lopsided loss is Team MACS. Danny Waytula totaled 19 points during Thursday nights 83-53 loss to #2 Team Sharrin. Waytula had a nice bounce-back game after struggling a little bit in Week 2. He certainly was not passive on the Offensive end on Thursday night as he led his squad in scoring for the second time this season, posting 19 solid points. Mike Crawford was on fire on Thursday night as well for Team MACS, dropping a nice 16-point performance. The rotation of Waytula, Crawford and Kevin Evans seemed to be working quite well through the first two weeks of the season but unfortunately for Team MACS, Evans was unable to dress on Thursday night and it certainly had an effect as Team MACS put up their lowest scoring total of the season. Next up for Team MACS is a showdown with Team Double RIM Jobs (1-2) coming up on Thursday night for a chance to rebound from this tough loss.

5. Avengers 5.0 – 1-1

Following their tough season opening loss to #2 Team Sharrin, Team Avengers 5.0 bounced back very nicely on Thursday night, posting a very solid 65-56 victory over Team Copters. Russell Fions was the man of the match in this one, posting a season high 21 points to help lead his squad to their first victory on the 2018 THURSDAY Fall campaign. Tyler Ammermann and Jim Campbell also had nice nights for Team Avengers 5.0, scoring 10 points apiece. Team Avengers 5.0 were not playing the type of Defense that they wanted too in their season opening loss but that all changed on Thursday night. Avengers 5.0 clamped down on the Defensive end of the court on Thursday evening and held a tough Team Copters crew to 56 points. Avengers 5.0 will look to secure their second victory on the season in Week 4 when they take the court against INDY Team #3 (0-3).

Rest of the Pack (Alphabetical Order)

Copters – 0-3

Team Copters had their hands full in Week 3 with a tough Avengers 5.0 group that was looking to secure their first win on the 2018 Fall THURSDAY campaign. By the final score of 65-56, Team Copters suffered their third straight defeat to start their season and are still searching for their first win. RJ Bulleri was the leading scorer in this one for Team Copters, pouring in a team high 17-points. Jared Funk and Jim O’Connor were also in double figures, scoring 15 and 10 respectively. These guys obviously have the talent and scorers to win ballgames, they just need to make some clutch baskets down the stretch. Team Copters still has 4 regular season games remaining on their schedule and could still finish the regular season about .500. They get a very good #3 Da Bulls (2-1) squad coming up on Thursday night for an opportunity to record their first W on the season.

Double RIM Jobs – 1-2

Team Double RIM Jobs struggled to get anything going on the Offensive end of the court in their Week 3 loss to #1 Team Porter. Their Defense also struggled (as most Defenses do against Team Porter) in this game, allowing Team Porter to score a Week high 91 points. By the final score of 91-48, Team Double RIM Jobs suffered their second Loss on the Fall 2018 THURSDAY campaign and drop into the realm of the unranked. Connor Quicksell led the scoring for Team Double RIM Jobs on Thursday night, dropping a team high 15 points. Tim Boland also pitched in with 9 points, but they just could not find much Offense from any one else. They also struggled containing the leagues highest scoring player as Eric Porter was able to drop a 35 burger on them. Team Double RIM Jobs will just need to put this Loss behind them and focus on what is next on their calendar, a date with #4 Team MACS (2-1). A win here can see them skyrocket back up the Rankings while a loss could see them sit in the unranked for another week.

INDY Team #3 – 0-3

Falling by the final score of 70-58 to #3 Da Bulls, INDY Team #3 suffered their third straight loss to begin their Fall 2018 THURSDAY campaign. INDY Team #3 left Week 3 still searching for their first W of the season, but based on their recent two performances, it will come. Greg Hegseth led INDY Team #3 in scoring in Week 3, dropping a very nice 18-point performance to help keep his squad in this game. Chris Colla and Jon Reyes also had nice nights, combining to score 30 points. They faced a very good Da Bulls crew on Thursday Night and need to just put that one behind them. These guys just need some more reps together to gain that chemistry. They are a Team that can still finish the Regular Season over .500. They have what it takes to go on a run here. Just need 1 Win to get started. They get Team Avengers 5.0 (1-1) in Week 4.

That’s it for Week 3! Good luck to all in Week 4!
