Power Rankings

1. Team Monday (Ljuboja) – 6-0

Team Monday (Ljuboja) continued their incredible start to the 2018 Fall season on Tuesday evening. They got to 6-0 by rolling over Team Plan B Especial (Loos) 84-44. Liam Lesniak was their leading scorer on the night, dropping 24 massive points to lead his guys to a comfortable victory. With the 24-point performance, Liam now has a very solid 19.50 PPG average for Team Monday. Thomas Leary also had a big night putting up 16 points while Captain Miki and Isaac Masters continued their strong seasons by scoring 12 apiece. They are going to head into the Week 6 feeling great…as they should as the #1 team in the Power Rankings! This win also guarantees Team Monday a Top-2 seed in the upcoming Playoffs. They’ll now have to turn their focus and attention to an INDY Team #5 (1-5) squad in Week 6 that will be looking to come out and snap their current 3-game losing streak.

2. Team Knox – 5-1

#2 Team Knox came into Week 5 with a solid 3-1 record and left Windy City Fieldhouse on Tuesday evening feeling even better about themselves, sweeping their scheduled double dip. By a final score of 110-74 over INDY Team #5 and a 109-83 victory over Team Nothing Special (Patidar), Team Knox has now won 5 games in a row and sees their Regular Season record sit at a very solid 5-1. Tremell Adams and Andre Knox led the way for Team Knox in their first game against INDY Team #5, dropping 28 points apiece in their blowout victory. In Game 2 of their double header, Tremell Adams once again led the way with 27 huge points. Tremell now sees his season point average sit at 26 PPG. Anthony Pierce also had a big night combining to score 43 points in his two games on Tuesday evening. Team Knox now just needs one more victory to guarantee themselves a Top-2 spot in the upcoming Playoffs. They’ll take on Plan B Especial (1-4) coming up in Week 6 in an opportunity to clinch that Top-2 seed.

3. Team Nothing Special (Patidar) – 3-2

Team Nothing Special (Patidar) have been three steps forward, two steps backward so far this season. By a final score of 109-83 in an offensive explosion by both teams, Team Nothing Special dropped their second consecutive game and lost a tough high scoring game to #2 Team Knox. Despite the loss, Team Nothing Special (Patidar) really played their A game on the offensive end in this game, beating their average of 58.8 points per game this season. Four different players were able to get in double digit figures in this one, led by Joe Pace who put in 28 huge points for Team Nothing Special. Chris Lipari, Jon Lampros and Mark Baker all had huge nights as well for Team Nothing Special, combing to score for 50 of the teams 83 total points. Next up for Team Nothing Special is a very important matchup against Team Lakeview Lakers (1-4), as they look to rebound from this disappointing loss and hang onto the #3 spot.

4. Team J-V Nation (Raja) – 2-3

For the last few weeks Team J-V Nation (Raja) was not even ranked. They now are sitting pretty in the #4 spot in the Week 5 Power Rankings! Team J-V Nation and Captain Mo Raja squeezed by Team Lakeview Lakers on Tuesday evening. With a score of 66-59, Team J-V Nation picked up a very important victory in Week 5 and snapped their 3-game losing streak. They really brought their A game in this one, beating their points per game average of 64.8. Anfernee Tevin James was the star of this game and the club’s offense with 22 points. Mr. James has now scored at least 15 points in every game this season for his club. Jeremiah Bankole had his second consecutive double-digit scoring performance, dropping 21 points to help lead his squad to this huge Week 5 victory. Team Plan B Especial (1-4) are next up on the schedule for Team J-V Nation as they look to keep their winning momentum turning.

5. Team Lakeview Lakers – 1-4

Moving down one spot into the #5 hole in the Week 5 Power Rankings is Team Lakeview Lakers following their tough 66-59 loss to Team J-V Nation (Raja) on Tuesday night. As soon as we thought this squad may have turned the corner, they struggled a bit on Tuesday night and dropped another tough game on Tuesday night, losing to new #3 Team J-V Nation (Raja). The loss pushes their record to 1-4 on the campaign. Aubry Denard had his second straight strong outing, posting a league high 28 points in Week 5. David Joseph, Eli Sachs and Brandon Nasatir also had nice games on Tuesday night, combing to score 23 points in their squads Week 5 loss. These guys will need to shake off this loss quickly as they now must tip-off against #3 Team Nothing Special (3-2) in our Week 5 Game of the Week! A win will put Team Lakeview Lakers right in the middle of the pack while a loss can see them sit towards the bottom of the standings. Big week coming up.

Rest of the Pack (Alphabetical Order)

INDY Team #5 – 1-5

INDY Team #5 really struggled to get anything going on Tuesday night as they took a crushing defeat to #2 Team Knox by the final score of 110-74. INDY Team #5 were unable to get rolling in this game, especially on the defensive end, allowing almost 35 points more than their season average of 75.5. On a positive note, INDY Team #5 did play well on the offensive end of the court, scoring the most points in any game so far this season. Craig Lenders led the squad on Tuesday night as he had 24 massive points for INDY Team #5. Daniel Lenders, Ian Ryder and Russell Dorn all had nice nights shooting the ball as well in this one, combing to score 42 of the squads 74 total points. Coming up in Week 6, INDY Team #5 will attempt to snap their current 3-game losing streak versus undefeated and #1 Team Monday (6-0). A win against these guys can completely turn their season around but they’ll need to come up with a great game-plan to knock off the #1 ranked team in the league!

Team Plan B Especial (Loos) – 1-4

#2 Team Knox blew past Team Plan B Especial and Captain Ken Loos on Tuesday night by a final score of 84-44. Team Plan B Especial really didn’t have their best stuff in this game and it showed, scoring less than their average of 49.6 points per game for the season. The leading scorer for Team Plan B Especial was Doug Bach who went for 14 points. Jan Szarwark also had a nice night, pitching in with 10 points of his own. Unfortunately for Team Plan B Especial, they just could not find much offensive production from anyone else to keep this game close. Coming up in Week 6, Team Plan B Especial will get two opportunities to tally some W’s in the Win column. They’ll first take the court against #4 Team J-V Nation (2-3) before ending their night with a match-up against #2 Team Knox (5-1). They’ll have these two opportunities to bounce back from their Week 5 lopsided loss and try to gain some momentum prior to the Playoffs starting.

That wraps up Week 5 gentleman! Good luck to you all in Week 6!
