Power Rankings

1. Team Deutsch – 4-0

Team Deutsch is a team that no one in the league wants to face right now. This team seems to be on cruise control right now and have won their first four games to remain the only team without a blemish on their record. By the final score of 91-80, Team Deutsch notched their fourth straight win against Team Knox and remain in the #1 spot in the Week 4 Power Rankings. Team Knox did their best to keep it close and hang around, but Team Deutsch was just too powerful down low. Six different players from Team Deutsch scored in double figures with William Sullivan leading the way with a monster 32-point performance. Mr. Sullivan now leads the league in scoring with 24.3 PPG (minimum 3 games played). Brian Oddo also had a big night on Tuesday, dropping 20 points to seal this important victory. Coming up on Tuesday night, Team Deutsch gets to face off against Team Watts (1-3) who will be looking to avenge their 15-point loss from this past Tuesday.

2. Team Darcy – 3-1

Team Darcy came into Week 4 looking to fix a few things that went wrong in their Week 3 loss to Team Deutsch. Once all was said and done, Team Darcy walked out of WCFH on Tuesday night with a nice 86-71 victory over Team Watts. Team Watts had an amazing first half and was up 4 going into half time. Something must have been said at halftime between this ground because when the second half came around, Team Darcy just turned it up another notch and showed why they are the defending champions. Team Darcy ended up pulling away late in the second half with Tim Dunlaey providing most of the offensive fire power with 26 points. Overall it was a good team effort as the whole starting five scored in double figures. Exactly what Champions must do! Coming up on Tuesday night, Team Darcy tips off against Team Immunity (1-3) who will be looking to snap their three-game losing skid.

3. Team Dean – 3-1

Winners of three straight games and moving up into the #3 spot in the Week 4 Power Rankings is non-other than Team Dean. By the final score of 78-47, Team Dean cruised past Team Jimenez and has solidified themselves as a Top-3 team. Team Dean was simply too powerful for team Jimenez as Dan led the wat for Team Dean with 21 points. Captain and floor general Tredrick Dean did what he has been doing all season and chipped in a solid 13 points to help secure their third victory early in this ballgame. Straight out the gate Team Dean went on a 21-5 run and the tone was set from there. They did not allow Team Jimenez to get any closer than that all game. It was a very good overall team effort as everyone on the team got involved offensively. Team Dean will not need to turn their attention to #5 Team Knox (2-2) in Week 4 in our Week 4 Game of Week! Huge match-up coming up for both squads.

4. Team Shlofrock – 2-2

Slowly but surely, Team Shlofrock is steadily climbing up our Power Rankings board. Moving up into the #4 spot in the Week 4 Power Rankings with a monster 102-66 victory over Team Immunity on Tuesday night, Team Shlofrock is really starting to get back into gear. When Team Shlofrock is at full force, as they were on Tuesday night, this is what the outcome of games will normally be. These guys put their foot on the gas pedal from tip off and didn’t look back. The big 3 of Captain Jake Shlofrock, Andrew Marks and Adam Rhum were just unstoppable on Tuesday evening. They combined for 67 points between them and were on fire from three-point land. Jordan Silver was very efficient as well by chipping in 13 points of his own. This is a team to be reckoned with so watch out. Next up on the docket for Team Shlofrock on Tuesday night is Team Jimenez (0-4) who’ll be looking to snag their first victory on this season.

5. Team Knox – 2-2

Moving down into the #5 spot in the Week 4 Power Rankings is Team Knox. By the final score of 91-80, Team Knox dropped their second game on the Spring TUESDAY campaign. They can’t be too disappointed however as they had to go up against #1 and arguably the hottest team in the league right now, Team Deutsch. Team Knox is still one of the power teams in the league but just ran into a tough Team Deutsch at the wrong time. Tremell Adams was flat out on fire and led all players in scoring in Week 4 with a monster 34-point outing. He was efficient shooting 3’s, getting his teammates involved and all around just producing. Special shout out to Chris White of Team Knox as well as he poured in 16 points. Unfortunately, it just wasn’t enough to pull off the upset here. Coming up in Week 4 for Team Knox is another difficult match-up as they face off against #3 Team Dean (3-1) in our Week 4 Game of the Week!

6. Team Watts – 1-3

Team Watts was coming into Week 4 with some confidence after their big Week 3 victory over Team Immunity. Unfortunately, that confidence was short lived as they dropped a tough game to #2 Team Darcy in Week 4 by a final score of 86-71. Team Watts had an outstanding first half and was up four points going into half time. When the second half came around however, Team Darcy just turned it up another notch and had no answers on how to contain Tim Dunlaey from Team Darcy. Tom Eggleston led the way for Team Watts with 19 points, while Will Hansen, Donny Nordman and Ian McDonald combined to score 37. Tom was absolutely on fire in the first half and did all he could to lead his team. Team Watts will have another opportunity to redeem themselves on Tuesday night when they square off against #1 Team Deutsch (4-0). A win here against the #1 team in the league can really jumpstart their season. Huge game coming up.

Rest of the Pack (Alphabetical Order)

Team Immunity – 1-3

By the final score of 102-66, Team Immunity suffered their worst defeat so far this season falling to #4 Team Shlofrock on Tuesday night. Team Immunity played good ball early and got solid contributions from everyone on the team but Team Shlofrock showed their All Sports Series experienced and never really gave Team Immunity an opportunity to get back into the game. Kyle Pass did an amazing job on Tuesday night by chipping in 21 points and trying to keep it close for his guys. Also, special shout out to Brian Hanks who poured in 18 points as well. Team immunity is a very scrappy team that can hang with anyone in this league and I wouldn’t be surprised if they came out feisty next week as they look to snag their second victory of the season. They’ll have another difficult task coming up on Tuesday night as they meet #2 and defending champions, Team Darcy (3-1).

Team Jimenez – 0-4

Team Jimenez has struggled to get it going offensively this season as they are only averaging 45 PPG after four weeks of games. Those struggles continued Tuesday night as they dropped their fourth consecutive ball game by the final score of 78-47 to #3 Team Dean. Team Dean was just a little too powerful for Team Jimenez as Team Dean went on a 21-5 run straight out of the gates and the tone was set from there. Jeremy, for Team Jimenez, did what he could do and poured in 11 points to help keep his guys within striking distance early. Captain Alex also chipped in 5 points of his own, but this squad will need much more offensive production from everyone on this team if they want to start stuffing some W’s in the win column. With a lopsided loss like this I wouldn’t be shocked if Team Jimenez comes out the gates strong next week and steel one away from Team Shlofrock (2-2). Anything is possible in All Sports Series Hoops leagues!

That’s it for Week 4. Good Luck to everyone in Week 5!
