Power Rankings

1. Team Maione – 5-1

13, 14, 16, 25, 35. No, those are not your daily lottery numbers. Those are the individual scorer stats for Team Maione during their Week 6 route of Team Dean by a final score of 103-80. Dylan Richter led the charge by posting a league high in Week 6, dropping 35 massive points. Chris Wroblewski posted his second straight 20+ point performance, knocking down trey after trey to end up with 25 points of his own. They move to 5-1 on the year and have a match-up against #2 Team Deutsch (5-1) in our Week 7 Game of the Week! Who can stop this fast-paced offense? If anyone can, Team Deutsch can and will try to knock down #1 Maione for the first time this season coming up on Tuesday night.

2. Team Deutsch – 5-1

Team Deutsch came out to an incredibly hot start and never looked back in their Week 6 game against All Sports Series veterans Team Darcy. By the final score of 93-73, Team Deutsch picked up their 3rd victory in a row and second victory of the season over Team Darcy. Really impressive and important W for them as we draw closer to Playoff time. Brian Oddo continues to light up the scoreboard week after week and Week 6 was no exception as he led Team Deutsch with 29 points on the evening. Brian has now scored at least 20 points in every game this season. Impressive to say the least! Michael Marietti also stepped up and had a big night dropping 24 points of his own. Up next for them is a showdown against #1 Team Maione (5-1) in our Week 7 Game of the Week! The winner of this match-up secures the overall #1 seed heading into the playoffs while the losing team will have to settle for the overall #2 spot.

3. Team Dean – 3-3

After a very strong 3-1 start to their season, Team Dean has now dropped 2 games in a row as they fell in Week 6 to #1 Team Maione by a final score of 103-80. Team Dean played a solid game against Team Maione, but just couldn’t keep up with the offensive powerhouse team. Garrett Jones led the scoring with 19 points for Team Dean. Bryan Daly and Julian also had nice nights on the offensive end, combining to score 31 of the teams 80 points. When Team Dean is firing on all cylinders there is little anyone can do to slow them down. They have been Champs before and they can beat any team on any given night. They just now must move on to the next one. They will play The Movement (2-4) in the last game of the regular season. In their previous match-up back in Week 3, Team Dean walked away with a 65-53 victory. A win here for Team Dean will secure the overall #3 seed while a loss can see them slip all the way down to the overall #5 seed. Huge game coming up on Tuesday night.

4. Team Darcy – 2-4

After picking up a very solid victory in Week 5 against #3 Team Dean, Team Darcy came back down to earth as they fell to Team Deutsch 93-73 on Tuesday night. The loss pushes their overall season record down to 2-4. Sam Martinez led the scoring with 25 points for them. They just need to get one back in the Win-column, so they can breathe a sigh of relief and get back to Winning Basketball before the Playoffs start up. Their last game of the regular season on Tuesday night is against Team Berkson (1-5). In their previous match-up back in Week 3, Team Darcy crushed Team Berkson by a final score of 81-52. Team Darcy will be looking for a similar result as a Win in their regular season finale on Tuesday night would guarantee them #4 seed at worst. A loss on the other hand could potentially see them fall all the way down to the #6 overall seed. Very important game coming up on Tuesday night.

5. The Movement – 2-4

The Movement got right back into the win column this week, beating Team Berkson by the final score of 80-67 to secure their 2nd victory on their Summer campaign. Ron King led all scorers in this one, dropping 27 points to bring his league leading scoring average to 32 PPG. Captain Consistency, Mr. Robert Snowden, did his thing once again on Tuesday night, dropping 21 massive points to help secure his squads 2nd W. This group has flown under the radar somewhat this season, being the new guys on the All Sports Series block, but that will be a mistake come Playoff time. They are more than capable of running right through the Bracket as they have the experience and talent to do so. They take on Team Dean (3-3) to finish the Regular Season off on Tuesday evening. A win here for The Movement can see them lock up the overall #3 seed while a loss could see them fall to the #6 seed. Huge game coming up in Week 7 to close the regular season.

6. Team Berkson – 1-5

Team Berkson dropped their 4th game in a row this week. They fell to The Movement in Week 6 by the final score of 80-67. Andrew Stempel had a huge night on the offensive end, scoring 24 points to lead his squad. Matt Kaplan also had a nice night, dropping 15 points of his own. Captain Justin and Cole Kirsh scored 9 points apiece, but it just wasn’t enough to get past The Movement. Team Berkson is a talented and veteran group that just needs to see something go their way and get some momentum prior to the Playoffs starting. Their close out their regular season campaign on Tuesday night with a match-up against Team Darcy (2-4). In their previous match-up against Team Darcy back in Week 3, Team Berkson suffered a 29-point loss, dropping that game by a final score of 80-51. Another loss here for Team Berkson will see them secure the overall #6 seed while a Win can potentially see them rise as high as the overall #4 seed. HUGE game coming up in Week 7.

That’s it for Week 6. Good luck to all on Tuesday night!
