Playoff Preview

Opening Round:
#4 Team Anderson vs. #5 The Average Wolves of Pen Island

In what has the billing of possibly being the best game of the night coming up on Tuesday, #4 Team Anderson and #5 The Average Wolves of Pen Island square off in Opening Round action. Both squads finished the regular season with identical 2-5 records. Team Anderson got the nod for the #4 seed over The Average Wolves of Pen Island based on their H2H record. These two squads met back in Week 2 with Team Anderson securing a solid 55-44 victory. Will history repeat itself in Opening Round action? Team Anderson will be coming into this match-up struggling a little bit as they are riding a two-game losing streak following their tough 98-82 loss in Week 7 against #1 Team Knox. They will try to ride the coattails of the squads leading scorers, Mack Watts, Donny Nordmann and Captain Ian Anderson. If these guys are hitting on all cylinders on Tuesday night, they will be very tough to beat.

The Average Wolves of Pen Island come into the Playoffs with the #5 seed and riding a solid two-game winning streak. They started their CHI Tuesday campaign with a 0-5 record but have won two very solid games since. A third straight victory on Tuesday night will see them advance into the Final4 with an opportunity to advance into the Championship game. They will hope that Joe Weber continues his current hot spell as he is averaging 22 PPG over his last three contests. The winner of this game moves right along to play #1 Team Knox in the Final4 for an opportunity to clinch a spot in the Championship game on Tuesday, March 12th.

Opening Round:
#3 LifeTime Blur vs. #6 INDY Team #5

Team LifeTime Blur had to settle for the overall #3 seed following their crushing 73-72 loss in Week 7 against The Average Wolves of Pen Island. They’ll be limping into the postseason as they are coming in losers of 2 straight and showing some signs of struggles for the first time this season. Not many people were giving Team LifeTime Blur much of a chance entering this Winter season as All Sports Series Hoops newbies, but they have proven they can play with anyone in this League. They begin their postseason campaign on Tuesday night with a match-up against #6 INDY Team #5. These two squads met back in Week 2 and Team LifeTime Blur walked out of WCFH with a blowout 52-point victory. Team LifeTime Blur will be led by the squads leading scorer during the regular season, Captain and Floor General Anfernee Tevin James. James comes into the playoffs averaging just under 18 PPG. He was not able to dress in Week 7, but they will certainly need his services on Tuesday night if they have any chance of advancing to the Championship Game on Tuesday, March 12th.

#6 INDY Team #5 finished the regular season with only 1 win to their name. They’ll need a lot of chips to fall into place, but crazier things have happened. They’ll come into Tuesday night riding a four-game losing streak and allowing a league worst 91.3 PPG. They’ll need to shore up that D on Tuesday night if they have any chance of pulling off an upset. INDY Team #5 will be led by big man Vasilije Cupara and his 11.5 PPG regular season average. Cupara struggled on Tuesday night in their regular season finale and will look to get back on track in his squads Opening Round match-up. The winner of this game moves right along to play #2 Wet Dream Team in the Final4 for an opportunity to clinch a spot in the Championship Game coming up on Tuesday, March 12th.

Final4:
#1 Team Knox vs. Winner #4 Team Anderson/#5 The Average Wolves of Pen Island

Team Knox earned the BYE to the Final4 when they clinched the #1 seed back in Week 6. They entered Week 7 looking to go undefeated during the regular season and they cruised to a huge 98-82 victory. They end up finishing the regular season with a perfect 7-0 record and in doing so, they are going to be heavy favorites against whomever they play in the Final4. They will take on the Winners of #4 Team Anderson versus #5 The Average Wolves of Pen Island. They ended up beating #4 Team Anderson twice during the regular season and secured a victory over The Average Wolves of Pen Island. These guys are going to look to push the pace against a tired Team and run their way into the Championship Game!

Final4:
#2 Wet Dream Team vs. Winner of #3 LifeTime Blur/#6 INDY Team #5

Wet Dream Team closed out the Regular Season with a thrashing of INDY Team #5 in Week 7 and will enter the 2019 TUESDAY Winter postseason with a 5-2 regular season record and the overall #2 seed. They are going to be favorites coming up on Tuesday night in the Final4 round against either #3 LifeTime Blur or #6 INDY Team #5. During the regular season, Wet Dream took a crushing 60-59 loss to Team LifeTime Blur in Week 5 but did end up beating INDY Team #5 on two separate occasions by a combined 103 points. The squads leading scorer during the regular season, Kyle Terpstra, paced Wet Dream Team all season long and ended the regular season averaging just under 19 PPG. Wet Dream Team will look to get similar production out of Tepstra coming up on Tuesday with a chance to book their ticket into the Championship game on Tuesday, March 12th.

That’s it for the Preview. Good luck to everyone in the Playoffs on Tuesday night!
