We have now crossed the halfway point of the All Sports Series Regular Season — a lot will surely change in the second half — but we definitely have a clearer view of who the frontrunners are compared to just four weeks ago.  Before we dive into the softball action from Monday Night, click the link for the Weekly Video Highlights!  Okay Power Rankings time…

Power Rankings

1. Team Max – AEPi JR (MacTaggart’s Market) – Currently in 1st in the Standings w/ 75 points.

Team Max is the only Undefeated left and they have been putting the hurt on many of the Teams along the way.  This week was no different as they dismissed the former #1 Team Olson by a score of 10-1.. These guys are for real and I don’t think they are going to be satisfied until they are holding the Crown come November.  Through 4 weeks they have proved to be a top team in Hoops, Football and Softball (twice)..  The #1 Seed in the Playoffs might come down to their volleyball skills a couple weeks from now.. But even if they falter this team’s seed might not matter as much as others.. They are the creme of the crop and I need to apologize to the other teams in the League as I believe my lack of acknowledging this has led them to taking it out on their opponents.  Welcome to the top Team Max.

2. Team Philosophos – KE SR1 (Roast Public House) – Currently tied for 2nd in the Standings w/ 55 points.

This squad is coming off the largest margin of victory on Monday Night — which always feels pretty good. Some would say they Roasted the competition. Yup we went there.  Connor “the hammer” Moutvic started things off right for these guys when he hit a grand slam to put them 4-0 and really set the pace for the whole game.  To help keep the shutout throughout the game he was joined by Jeremy “the glove” Rosenfeld who was committed to D all night long.  These guys are on a roll and have come into a tie for 2nd place in the Standings.  Next week they have a matchup with #3…

3. Team Abrahamson – KE SR2 (Gamefly.com) – Currently tied for 4th in the Standings w/ 40 points.

Easily the most fun game of the Week was the Offensive battle between Team Abrahamson and Team Rosenberg – AEPi SR (Madison Taxi)..  They traded the lead back and forth all night and finally it was a big line drive by Captain “Clutch” Nick Abrahamson who gave his crew the walk-off victory!  Team Abrahamson has a HUGE matchup next week with #2 Team Philosophos.. The winner is going to be in really good shape in terms of Playoff Seeding while the Loser will still have to deal with the middle of the pack the rest of the way.

4. Team Olson – Sig Chi SR (9Round Black) – Currently tied for 2nd in the Standings w/ 55 points.

Team Olson had been #1 for the entire Season up until this past Monday Night.. They ran into the juggernaut that is Team Max and finally tasted defeat for the first time all season long..  This one loss is no big deal. They are still tied for 2nd and are in great shape for the Playoffs.. The real thing to watch now is will this group be able to recover after their first loss of the season or will they dwell on it..?  My guess, they are right back in the Winner’s Circle shortly.

5. Team Saltzman – KE JR (Badger Bowl Navy) – Currently tied for 4th in the Standings w/ 40 points.

Biiiig Win.  Big. Big.  These guys are now through two full softball games and have yet to give up a run.. Wow.  Many of the thanks to that can be given to their stellar left side of the infield.. Adam “stickum” Conen and Jesse “the wall” Pollans were simply great on Monday Night.  With the win they climb into a tie for 4th in the Standings which is a solid spot to be as we move closer to November.. Next week these guys will line up on the gridiron against #4 Team Olson — in another top Week 5 matchup.

6. Team Rosenberg – AEPi SR (Madison Taxi) – Currently tied for 4th in the Standings w/ 40 points.

It’s too bad that anyone had to drop the game between Team Abrahamson and Team Rosenberg on Monday Night and unfortunately for Team Rosenberg they got the short end of the stick.  It was a 12-11 walk-off thriller.   What Team Rosenberg needs to think is how close they were in this one and how close they were to sole ownership of #2 in the Standings.  These guys have enough talent to play with anyone in the League and still have time to climb before the Playoffs start. Next week they will play the group from SAE — Team Baldeh.

7. Team Holway – AEPi SO (Ian’s Pizza) – Currently in 8th in the Standings w/ 20 points.

Not their best week this week but they are heading back to the football field where they won in Week 3. These guys have enough to certainly surprise some teams in a late-season run. I have my eye on them for sure.

8. Team Baldeh – SAE (9Round Graphite) – Currently tied for 9th in the Standings w/ 15 points.

Team Baldeh has been sliding a bit since their Week 1 Win.. However, there is still PLENTY of time to get back on the right track before November. If the Playoffs started today, these guys would be in.. They need to get a couple more Ws to keep that spot though!

That’s it for this week’s Wrap-Up. Have a great weekend! Thanks for reading.
